Thoughts of a steem knucklehead

Isn't it interesting how greatly we come to rely on the habitual things in life and how uncomfortable we feel when they stop suddenly, or we are threatened with losing them.

In the last nine hundred and ninety four days I have come to rely heavily on steem; The comfort and enjoyment I find there (here). With recent events rocking the boat yet again I found myself contemplating its end and the future...What will I do with myself, I thought. A little dramatic? Yeah sure, why not huh?

After sleeping on it, I awoke this morning with the answer...The same as I've always done. Design and create my ideal life, don't live it by default.

That's right...Nothing has really changed for me and what constitutes my life. Has steem changed? Yes. Will it revert? Probably not, but that doesn't matter. Those things are stand-alone and whilst steem and its benefits have become intrinsic to my life they don't define it. So, I'll be around, posting, and doing what it is I enjoy doing...Until I can no longer do so...SNAFU (Situation normal, all fucked up.) 😂

I was writing the above paragraph when a message came through from @azircon on another post I did yesterday. You can see it below...

It's kind of nice huh? I mean the way he mentions the community and how it's stepping up. I see it too, and so agree completely. I am also humbled by his last line...That's some powerful shit right there folks. We changed azircon's life!

Could there be any better endorsement for the community and its members than that?

I know there's issues and whilst I would love to add some intelligent insight I cannot; I'm not that savvy with all the nuances and technicalities...I'm a knucklehead after all. I understand there's issues though, that decentralisation had its pants pulled down and that the foundations of crypto, all crpyto, were shaken with the debacle yesterday...Weighty matters for minds greater than mine. I'm a content creator; Nothing more.

Here's the thing though...My content comes from life, mine, those around me, sometimes even yours. You see, life makes me think, brings questions, opinions, sadness, laughter, pain and suffering, success and the journey towards it...All of that comes out in my posts which is why I have an endless stream of them; Truly, endless.

So SNAFU is nothing unusual here, just as in life, and I'll continue to content-create with all my knuckleheadiness (yep, that's a word you know), and hope other knuckleheads like me do the same. This community is too important for us not to do so.

I spoke with my little brother @tarazkp this morning. Some of you may know him. As always he spoke words of wisdom and a a lot of sense. He clarified some of the mystery around the recent occurrence and confirmed that my decision to steem on is the right move. It was good to hear because steem has become intertwined into my life in ways that would be difficult to reverse..

Life is full of challenge and if you haven't had any yet I can assure you it is likely that it will pay you a visit before you die. It happens. It's no different here. Challenge brings emotion then thought and ideas and, finally, change...It will be the same here and only time will tell how that change affects us.

What I know though is that this community is built on life, people's lives, and we need to live them in the real world to be able to relate them here. I don't know what you guys think, what you feel about these words (assuming someone is reading it) but I know that everyone has a life and this community connects them in ways other social media hasn't...It's a pretty cool thing.

Anyway, I am going to live some life in the real world shortly. I'll be out shooting on the farm. I'll be alone, no one but me and the world around me, no humans, no noise, no distractions...I'll be back though, you can count on it. I hope you're here when I return.
