The New Artist in the Neighborhood.

The kids want to be YouTubers, they want to be influencers... because the web is full of fools doing stupid things to get attention and make money in the attention economy.

I have young relatives immersed in the digital world... do I introduce them to it or keep them away?

I read somewhere a country banned social media for minors due to the harm it can cause. But what about Hive? Is it as harmful as the others? I'm sure it is.

My relative loves Margarita's stories (@marpa), so he wants to create his own stories. We sit and read 10-15 stories in one go, and he gets excited. He told me, "I want to write my own stories, create an account, and upload them."

Here are his drawn stories, his childish world.

But should I introduce him to this addictive world or keep him away?

It feels like drugs... once you try, you start with the basics, then you keep trying to improve your feelings until you're into hard stuff like heroin, which will kill you.

Should I expose my relative to this life-changing world? Young people have stopped studying; a university closed due to lack of demand. Other relatives stopped studying because working was better.

Uploading a kid to this world seems too risky. I'll use my account as a bridge and keep it under control, because he wants to see his achievements on the big screen, and we know how dangerous that can be

We must control what our kids see on screens. Back to the topic... here are the drawings of a potential artist, a potential "dibilujante" (dribble artist) trying to take over the world.

Should I make my relative part of Hive or let him grow? If I don't, another idiot will surely lead him down the dark path of social media.

Thanks for watching. The designs aren't mine; they were drawn by my relative, who'll do everything for a glorious life. It depends on us adults to help make it happen.

Well, I think it's the same question we ask ourselves: at what age should we let them use a cell phone or tablet? I think it's important to familiarize them with technology, but without letting it become an addiction or allowing them to freely browse the internet, social media, etc. I think it's the same for Hive.

(Should I expose my relative to this life-changing world?) What a question! I wouldn't know how to answer. Honestly, I feel good not having this uncertainty.
