And you need to think outside of the box. And sometimes you need to think offensively instead of defensively. Otherwise you'll never grow fast enough to get noticed or to become interesting.

This is a good point for anybody wanting to take on a marketing role.
Even with a good team of people it is hard to break through with a new business or product.
There are lots of options out there so you need to be something special to stand out above the crowd.
