Hola mis amigos creativos en hive! Espero se encuentren muy bien y estén teniendo un excelente martes, hoy les comparto este dibujo que realice inspirado en la hermana Mary Eunice personaje de la segunda temporada de American Horror Story: Asylum y que está interpretada por la actriz Lily Rabe y del cual me tomé algo de libertad creativa ya que ya hace un tiempo de que quería dibujar una monja a mi estilo, sin más que decir, espero les guste y los invito a leerme! ❤️✨

Hello my creative friends at hive! I hope you are doing well and are having a great Tuesday, today I share with you this drawing that I made inspired by Sister Mary Eunice character from the second season of American Horror Story: Asylum and is played by actress Lily Rabe and which I took some creative freedom since I wanted to draw a nun in my style, without more to say, I hope you like it and I invite you to read me! ❤️✨

Materiales/Materials

• Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo en tradicional en una hoja tipo cartulina tamaño 35 x 28 cm, un lápiz de grafito 2 HB y un borrador (corté mi borrador haciendo que las esquinas quedarán en punta así será más fácil borrar espacios pequeños), mis colores, un marcador negro y rojo y un corrector líquido blanco.

• What I used to make the drawing in traditional on a cardboard type sheet size 35 x 28 cm, a graphite pencil 2 HB and an eraser (I cut my eraser making the corners to be pointed so it will be easier to erase small spaces), my colors, a black and red marker and a white liquid corrector.

✨Paso a paso/ Step by Step✨

Comencé haciendo el boceto del rostro y además agregué algunos detalles como unas lágrimas, su mano sosteniendo un cigarro y un pequeño tatuaje en su cuello que dice "no soy pecadora" además de dibujar su collar con la cruz y un pequeño arete. Use un marcador negro para pintar la parte de tela negra de su vestimenta de monja y con un marcador rojo fui pintando el fondo ya que sabía que estos dos detalles eran los que me iban a tomar más tiempo en hacer.

I started by sketching the face and also added some details such as some tears, her hand holding a cigarette and a small tattoo on her neck that says "Not a sinner" as well as drawing her necklace with the cross and a small earring. I used a black marker to paint the black fabric part of her nun's dress and with a red marker I painted the background since I knew that these two details were the ones that were going to take me more time to do.

Continúe pintando con el marcador rojo parte del fondo y terminé de pintar la tela de color negro de su vestimenta, comencé a hacer sombras con azul oscuro y con este mismo delinee algunas partes como sus ojos, nariz y labios, con rojo y rosa fui construyendo el rubor en su nariz, mejillas y en su oreja y también con estos colores pinte sus labios, con color marrón y negro pinte y agregué detalles a sus cejas, con color naranja pinte la parte trasera del cigarrillo. Para crear un contrates con la sombra azul use rojo para que ésta se tornara ligeramente en morado, con marcador rojo delinee el tatuaje en su cuello y continúe construyendo el tono de su piel con color durazno y color blanco. Para pintar sus irises combine verde y azul y los difumine con color blanco, continúe delineando mas partes de su rostro pero ahora con color negro y también hice las raíces de su cabello con el mismo, para pintar las perlas de su collar y de su arete mezcle gris y color durazno para darle el color característico de las perlas.

I continued painting with the red marker part of the background and finished painting the black fabric of her clothes, I started to make shadows with dark blue and with this same blue I outlined some parts like her eyes, nose and lips, with red and pink I built the blush on her nose, cheeks and ear and also with these colors I painted her lips, with brown and black I painted and added details to her eyebrows, with orange I painted the back of the cigarette. To create a contrast with the blue shadow I used red to make it turn slightly purple, with red marker I outlined the tattoo on her neck and continued building her skin tone with peach and white. To paint her irises I combined green and blue and blurred them with white color, I continued outlining more parts of her face but now with black color and I also made the roots of her hair with the same color, to paint the pearls of her necklace and earring I mixed gray and peach color to give it the characteristic color of the pearls.

Este es el resultado del dibujo, terminé de pintar su piel y agregar más detalles como pintar sus uñas de negro y sombrear las partes blancas de su vestimenta con color gris y continúe pintando su cabello el cual fue un degradado entre negro, marrón y amarillo mostaza para luego terminar con un amarillo pálido, hice algunos cabellos sueltos y luego use el corrector líquido blanco para hacer los brillos, lo coloque en sus ojos, en su nariz, labios y otras partes como el collar, el arete y su cabello, para agregué un separador entre el tono del fondo y el dibujo delinee todo el dibujo con el corrector líquido blanco. Aunque fue difícil hacer el fondo, ya que el marcador rojo que estaba usando comenzó a quedarse sin tinta, pude conseguir otro que tenía guardado y así termine de pintar el fondo, siempre me ha gustado como los artistas muestran como el lado rebelde de las monjas a través de cuadros, dibujos y pinturas así que quise intentarlo yo misma con parte de mi estilo de dibujo y el resultado me encantó, además de que el personaje de Mary Eunice es uno de mis personajes favoritos dentro de esa segunda temporada de American Horror Story. ❤️✨

This is the result of the drawing, I finished painting her skin and added more details like painting her nails black and shading the white parts of her clothes with gray color and continued painting her hair which was a gradient between black, brown and mustard yellow to finish with a pale yellow, I did some loose hair and then I used the white liquid corrector to make the shines, I put it on her eyes, on her nose, lips and other parts like the necklace, the earring and her hair, to add a separator between the background tone and the drawing I outlined the whole drawing with the white liquid concealer. Although it was difficult to do the background, since the red marker I was using started to run out of ink, I was able to get another one I had saved and so I finished painting the background, I always liked how artists show how the rebellious side of the nuns through pictures, drawings and paintings so I wanted to try it myself with part of my drawing style and I loved the result, plus the character of Mary Eunice is one of my favorite characters within that second season of American Horror Story. ❤️✨
