Hola mis amigos creativos en hive! Espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy, les traigo el proceso de este dibujo que termine hace poco el cual es un retrato que hice de una cantante que me ha estado gustando muchísimo y su nombre es Ethel Cain, con su estilo de canciones alternativas y el cual mezcla letras con temas religiosos, metáforas de la vida y un alter ego con una historia trágica, Ethel me ha dado la inspiración para realizar este dibujo, espero poder hacer más retratos de ella muy pronto. Está es mi primera participación en esta comunidad así que espero que puedan disfrutar del proceso y las fotos tanto como yo lo disfruté cuando lo realicé. Hello my creative friends at hive! I hope you are doing well today, I bring you the process of this drawing that I finished recently which is a portrait I did of a singer that I have been liking a lot and her name is Ethel Cain, with her style of alternative songs and which mixes lyrics with religious themes, metaphors of life and an alter ego with a tragic story, Ethel has given me the inspiration to make this drawing, I hope to do more portraits of her very soon. This is my first participation in this community so I hope you can enjoy the process and the photos as much as I enjoyed it when I made it. Materiales/Materials

Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo en tradicional en una hoja tipo cartulina tamaño 35 x 28 cm, un lápiz de grafito 2 HB y un borrador (corté mi borrador haciendo que las esquinas quedarán en punta así será más fácil borrar espacios pequeños), mis colores y un corrector líquido blanco.

What I used to make the drawing in traditional on a cardboard type sheet size 35 x 28 cm, a graphite pencil 2 HB and an eraser (I cut my eraser making the corners to be pointed so it will be easier to erase small spaces), my colors and a liquid paper (correction pen).

✨Paso a paso/ Step by Step✨

Comencé realizando el boceto de la imagen que tome de referencia y luego borre las líneas de lápiz más marcadas para comenzar a usar los colores. Empecé haciendo el coloreado por capas, las primeras capas son las sombras que son en colores azul, rosado y lila y luego combiné los colores para crear la transición entre las sombras y el tono de su piel usando un color durazno y con un tono más claro del color durazno terminé de rellenar la piel. Con color negro empecé a delinear las partes más oscuras del dibujo como son las líneas de la nariz, la boca, y el cuello, para los labios mezcle rosado, rojo y magenta para crear una transición en el tono de sus labios. Con el color marrón acentúe las sombras.

I started by sketching the image I took as a reference and then I erased the most marked pencil lines to start using the colors. I started doing the coloring in layers, the first layers are the shadows which are in blue, pink and lilac colors and then I combined the colors to create the transition between the shadows and the tone of her skin using a peach color and with a lighter tone of the peach color I finished filling the skin. With black I started to outline the darker parts of the drawing such as the lines of the nose, mouth, and neck, for the lips I mixed pink, red and magenta to create a transition in the tone of her lips. With the brown color accentuate the shadows.

Continué mezclando colores para darle más realismo a su piel, para pintar el color de sus ojos use verde y un poco de color gris para darles un tono opaco. Con color marrón pinte sus cejas y las sombras de sus ojos, con color negro hice las pestañas y pinte sus tatuajes. Ya teniendo terminada la piel y el rostro comencé a pintar el cabello mezclando varios colores cálidos primero, empecé con amarillo claro, luego con marrón y por último oscureci el tono con color negro, con color dorado pinte su collar con la cruz.

I continued mixing colors to give more realism to her skin, to paint the color of her eyes I used green and a little gray to give them an opaque tone. With brown color I painted her eyebrows and eye shadows, with black color I painted her eyelashes and her tattoos. Once I finished the skin and the face I started to paint the hair mixing several warm colors first, I started with light yellow, then with brown and finally I darkened the tone with black color, with gold color I painted her necklace with the cross.

Este es el resultado del dibujo, para finalizar con el dibujo agregué algunos detalles pequeños en su rostro como un poco de color rojo para el rubor, un poco de color azul para los tatuajes para hacerlos como si estuvieran perdiendo la tinta y pinte el bralette de color marrón con sombras negras, para terminar use el corrector líquido blanco para agregar brillos a su piel y rostro. Me encantó hacer este dibujo, tenía mucho tiempo sin dibujar (lo deje por unos días para recargar mis baterías) y hacerlo fue muy satisfactorio, ver cómo se mezclaron los colores y como poco a poco se iba revelando la imagen es lo que hace que se disfrute aún más el proceso de un dibujo que el resultado. Está artistas últimamente me ha estado gustando mucho ya que sus letras me parecen muy geniales, la forma en la que usa muchas metáforas para referirse a cosas tan simples como el romance, esto hace que sus canciones sean aún más mágicas (con la instrumental incluida).

This is the result of the drawing, to finish with the drawing I added some small details in her face like a little red color for the blush, a little blue color for the tattoos to make them as if they were losing the ink and paint the bralette in brown color with black shadows, to finish I used the white liquid paper to add shines to her skin and face. I loved doing this drawing, I had a long time without drawing (I left it for a few days to recharge my batteries) and doing it was very satisfying, seeing how the colors were mixed and how little by little the image was revealing is what makes you enjoy the process of a drawing even more than the result. I've been liking this artist a lot lately because I find her lyrics very cool, the way she uses many metaphors to refer to simple things like romance, this makes her songs even more magical (with the instrumental included).
