Madre preocupada por sus hijos / Mother worried about her children

We are currently experiencing truly terrible things in this beloved country, praying for God to take control of the entire situation; I honestly do not know what price Venezuelans are paying—it is something we have been living through for many years now.

At my age, I remember very clearly my high school and university days, as well as my first job; everything was happiness then, and we didn't face so many of life's setbacks.
Honestly, as a mother, I feel disheartened; I have given everything on my own to see my children grow up to be fulfilled men and professionals, yet sometimes I feel deeply saddened by the situation our country is going through.

I don't want my children to leave the country, and they don't want to go anywhere either; but the truth is, the situation has become unbearable. I don't see a bright future for them here. We have fought together for them to become professionals. I feel particularly emotional about my youngest son; his high school years were far from easy—it was a time when teachers were constantly leaving the country, followed by the pandemic. Then came university, and it has been a long, arduous journey. In reality, I haven't seen my son grow up the way I did—happy, eager to move forward, and full of joy.
Right now, my son is both studying and working, and honestly, it hurts me when he complains constantly—though the saddest part is that he is right. I pray earnestly to God for him, asking the Lord to grant him clarity and wisdom. I talk to him and tell him that he is chosen by God, that he should keep moving forward and remain deeply grateful to the Heavenly Father, because the young people who have endured such hardships are the ones who will lead this country toward a better future.

It is clear that my country is not doing well; terrible things are happening—such as the earthquake that claimed so many innocent lives. My children are grown men now, and my most important task is to pray unceasingly that God takes control of their lives and the lives of all the country's inhabitants. We cannot give up; we must press on, stronger than before. We must fight the battle with greater strength than ever; our children need us, and we must remain strong, fighting the good fight while holding fast to God's hand.
This great tragedy that has struck Venezuela should shake us to the core and prompt deep reflection. It is time for change; we must seek God more earnestly. Only He can grant us the wisdom and discernment we need—let us seek Him more.
Friends, now is the time to cling to life with faith and hope. Our children need us; we must rise up like fierce lionesses and warriors to help our young ones move forward and to lend a hand to our neighbors. We must not fall; instead, we must keep going—dust ourselves off and rise up. Venezuela needs us—for our own sake, and for the sake of our children, families, and friends.
It is time to forgive, change, and give thanks, and to seek ways to help and support others; as long as we possess a spirit of strength, courage, and power, we can achieve many good things—let us not lose heart.
