I’m liking this Netflix show… Pirate Gold!

I'm at the 8th (last) episode of the Netflix series the Pirate Gold of Adak Island. I think it's really good documentary because I rarely watch a series in Netflix because I can't wait to watch these types of shows. I prefer watching movies because it takes less time to finish watching them.

This series is about treasure hunting!

Somehow, I like the presentation because there is a greater purpose as to why they are hunting the hidden pirate treasure. The Mayor of Adak island is desperately finding ways to save his city from its dying economy. The treasure which is about 300M in value will be used to invigorate the infrastructure and economy of the city. That's his end goal.

To be able to accomplish that, the Mayor assembled a group of people who have their own expertise to help him find the hidden treasure. I think he is clever enough to pick the right people for this mission: a geographer, a treasure hunter, a tech guy, and a fabricator. There are not many of them but I think their expertise is more than enough to find the hidden treasure in Adak island.

Honestly, I'm very impressed with the knowledge of these people and the way they use it to find the answers for their questions. I'm also interested in the way they think about their situation. They apply logic and their gut to find the direction towards the hidden treasure.

The only question is… will it be enough to find the pirate gold?
