The Past Is Not The Present - An Inspired Haiku
Life has not been the same for everyone after the eruption of Covid-19.
Wearing a mask and keeping a good social distance in school have become a norm.
Almost all celebrations have been diluted from physical to online.
I can see that my pupils were not engaged when they were only able to watch live performances online for various events and celebrations.
In the past, the Mid Autumn Festival would have kids taking lantern and walking around the neighbourhood but we are unable to see such sight anymore with the cases of Covid-19 on the rise.
A small mooncake may only be one bite but it can bring back memories of how the Mid Autumn Festival used to be celebrated.
Stay at home when we can and we should avoid eating out.
The past is not the present so we must move on from where we are and hope for a better future.
Hope you like the below Haiku :-
Memory of past
The past can only be past
Leave the past behind
We cannot turn back time but we can try to make a better present and future by doing what we can now.
We may face different challenges and failures in our journey but we can make a different by not giving up easily.
