After the murder of Hamlet's father and king, the guards of the castle of Elsinore begin to witness in the night hours the spirit of the King in the state of Denmark, so the guards decide to warn at that very moment the young Hamlet, son of the deceased, about the nocturnal apparition of his father. Hamlet feels totally devastated because he still does not accept the death of his father and, in addition to this, he is totally overwhelmed to see that his mother Gertrude, after only a month of the death of the king, marries Claudius, brother of the late king.

Después del asesinato del padre y rey de Hamlet, los guardias del castillo de Elsinor comienzan a presenciar en horas de la noche el espíritu del Rey en el estado de Dinamarca, por lo que, los guardias deciden avisar en ese mismo momento al joven Hamlet, hijo del difunto, sobre la aparición nocturna de su padre. Hamlet se siente totalmente debastado debido a que aún no acepta la muerte de su padre y, sumado a esto, queda totalmente abrumado al ver que su madre Gertrudis, después de tan solo un mes de la muerte del rey, se casa con Claudio, hermano del difunto rey.

After seeing his mother and uncle together, Hamlet makes the decision to accompany the soldiers who had told them about his father's ghost, so, once at the place, his father manifests himself and calls him aside, pointing out that he had not died as everyone believed, (of a snake bite), but had been poisoned by his own brother, Claudius. In expressing these words, he asks his son to take revenge and save his wife Gertrude from Claudius' hands. Clearly, the king made the guards swear an oath not to speak to anyone about what was happening. Therefore, Hamlet begins to develop a plan which consisted of performing a play, which would stage the murder of his father before the eyes of his successor, and in this way he could visualize his reaction, and thus confirm the assertion of his father's nocturnal apparition.

Después de ver a su madre y tío juntos, Hamlet toma la decisión de acompañar a los soldados que les habían mencionado lo del fantasma de su padre, por lo que, una vez estando en el lugar, su padre se manifiesta y lo llama a un lado, resaltándole que él no había muerto como todos creían, (de una mordedura de serpiente), sino que había sido envenenado por su propio hermano, Claudio. Al expresar estar palabras, le pide a su hijo que se vengue y salve a su esposa Gertrudis de la manos de Claudio. Claramente, el rey hizo jurar a los guardias que no hablaran con nadie de lo que estaba pasando. Por ello, Hamlet empieza a desarrollar un plan el cual consistía en realizar una obra de teatro, que escenificara el asesinato de su padre ante los ojos de su sucesor, y de esta forma podría visualizar su reacción, y así confirmar la aseveración de la aparición nocturna de su padre.

Arriving on the day of the play, the king and queen are presented. Thus, as the play unfolds Hamlet, and the actors, instructed by him, stage the murder of the king; his father at the hands of Claudius, as well as his inappropriate marriage liaison with Queen Gertrude. The king's reaction confirms what his father had described to him, so Claudius gets up and leaves the hall. King Claudius orders the two of them to send Hamlet back to England as quickly as possible, because his secret has been revealed. After that moment lived by the king, he falls to his knees praying and meanwhile Hamlet approaches him from behind and draws his sword, ready, at last, to avenge the murder of his father. But he decides to postpone the deed for later.

Llegando el día de la obra de teatro, el rey y la reina se presentan. Por ello, a medida que se iba desarrollando la obra Hamlet, y los actores, instruidos por él, escenifican el asesinato del rey; su padre a manos de Claudio, así como su inadecuado enlace matrimonial con la reina Gertrudis. La reacción del rey confirma lo que su padre le había descrito, por lo que, Claudio se levanta y abandona el salón. El rey Claudio ordena a los dos a desalojar a Hamlet a Inglaterra tan rápidamente como sea posible, debido a que su secreto había sido revelado. Después de aquel momentado vivido por el rey, este cae de rodillas rezando y mientras tanto Hamlet se acerca a él por detrás y saca su espada, dispuesto, por fin, a vengar el asesinato de su padre. Pero este, decide posponer el hecho para después.

Following, Prince Hamlet was sent by King Claudius to England, however, during the voyage to England, the ship is attacked by pirates, so he is rescued and returns unexpectedly to Denmark. His arrival, generates to the king the creation of a plan together with Laertes (secondary character of the play) while they were thinking they receive the news that Ofelia (Laertes' sister and in love with Prince Hamlet) dies after falling into a river. Therefore, they decide to bury her, so, while the gravedigger digs Ophelia's grave and takes out a skull from the pit, Hamlet learns that one of the skulls is that of Yorick, he was the former jester of the king. The prince, who knew the deceased, takes the skull and philosophizes about the ephemerality of human life and power in the face of death.

Seguidamente, el príncipe Hamlet fue enviado por el rey Claudio a Inglaterra, sin embargo, durante la travesía hacia Inglaterra, el barco es atacado por piratas, así que es rescatado y regresa inesperadamente a Dinamarca. Su llegada, genera al rey la creacion de un plan junto con Laertes (personaje secundario de la obra) mientras pensaban reciben la noticia de que Ofelia (Hermana de Laertes y enamorada del Príncipe Hamlet) muere tras caer en un río. Por ello, deciden sepultarla, así que, mientras el sepulturero cava la tumba de Ofelia y saca de la fosa una calavera, Hamlet se entera que una de las calaveras es la de Yorick, era el antiguo bufón del rey. El príncipe, que conoció al difunto, toma la calavera y filosofa sobre lo efímero de la vida humana y el poder frente a la muerte.

After all this, Laertes challenges Hamlet to a sword fight in the midst of the people, among whom were the king and queen. Sadly, Gertrude unwittingly drinks from the cup of poisoned wine. And in the midst of the commotion of the fight, both adversaries mistakenly switch swords, so both are wounded by the poisoned weapon. The queen falls to the ground, dead. And Laertes, while losing his life, confesses to Hamlet the ruse planned by the king, so the latter also stabs the king. And finally, his father would be at peace and he would die thinking that his fulfilled what his father so desired, the revenge of his murder.

Después de todo ello, Laertes reta a Hamlet a una batalla de espadas en medio de las personas, entre ellas se encontraban el rey y la reina. Tristemente, Gertrudis bebe sin querer de la copa del vino envenenado. Y en medio del alboroto de la pelea, ambos adversarios cambian por error las espadas, así que los dos resultan heridos por el arma envenenada. La reina cae al suelo, muerta. Y Laertes, mientras perdía la vida le confiesa a Hamlet la artimaña planeado por el rey, por lo que este último también apuñala al rey. Por último, su padre estaría en paz y él moriría pensando que su cumplió lo que su padre tanto deseaba, la venganza de su asesinato.
