Six Ages of Rock and Roll for The Rolling Stones/Seis décadas de Rock and Roll para The Rolling Stones [ENG/ESP]

1962-2022, 60 years, guys. Six decades, half a century plus a decade; 3 generations (each comprising periods of 20 years), all this has been made possible by The Rolling Stones. A band that has long since ceased to be just another rock band, but is now an institution. They are ambassadors of the best music on the planet wherever they go. What these guys have done over the years in fusing blues with rock and rhythm and blues has been simply unparalleled. I'm a lost Beatles fan but they (the Stones) have done it for much longer and without degenerating. I surrender to such spectacularity and pay homage to them.
As I write this second paragraph, "Ride 'Em on Down" enters the playlist, a song that could easily have been released as a single 60 years ago and would not lose its relevance in time. It would make our grandparents happy, just as it makes me happy. Obviously, I'll leave it somewhere in the post, and I hope you enjoy it at full volume. The harmonica solos and drum beat plus the distinct rock and blues rhythm, it's orgasmic. It really is. But getting back to the subject at hand today (International Rock and Roll Day, 07/13/2022), what better way to celebrate than by acknowledging the greatness of perhaps the most consistent, real and current band rock has ever produced?

I know we will all recognise these lines that you will read below, but I could not pass up the opportunity: "Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste. I've been around for a long, long years. Stole million man's soul and faith...". I will say no more. If reading those wonderful, immortal, precious lyrics doesn't generate anything for you, you should go and type it (immediately) into Google. On the other hand, I'll confess that I didn't grow up with the Stones' repertoire in my particular library of tastes, but having "discovered" them had an unforgettable influence on me. Because I've always been a taster of good blues, but the one linked to rock and roll. And we all know that this is the house style of this band.
There is also one thing that makes me love The Rolling Stones too much, and that is the fact that they are not particularly virtuosic musicians. Let's face it with some objectivity, Mick Jagger, as well as Charlie Watts and Keith Richards, weren't exactly erudite on their various instruments. But they don't need to be. Because talent, creativity and magic translated into staging, they undoubtedly have it. They transmit rebelliousness, youth, fire, passion but above all joy. What a great band the Stones are. It's a pleasure to meet them, even though for as long as I can remember they have always been "old". I'm referring to their physical appearance, but they keep touring, breaking concert records and there they are, like boys...
I'm a man of wealth and taste. I've been around for a long, long years. Stole million man's soul and faith...".

No band has been able to do or replicate what the Stones did; I insist; none! To last as a band since 1962 without interruption, and to remain at the top of the rock and roll charts of all time; simply mind-blowing. And if we look at it as a timeline, The Rolling Stones would occupy 90% of that measure. In this sense, rock has seven decades (there is even a VH1 documentary, which reflects it in detail) the guys from London, England, have been in 60 of these 70 years of history of this musical genre. An insanity. I repeat, no one, absolutely no one has been able to replicate what these geniuses still do.
These wonderful Englishmen and lovers of good rock and roll created by black Americans, in the 50's, have seen groups come and go such as: Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Queen, The Animals, Talking Heads, The Ramones, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, The Knicks, and while, they have not always remained at the top (Rolling Stones magazine, lists them as number 4 of the greatest rock and roll artists of all time) that in no way means they have no persistence and are still a band dedicated to being legends of this genre. A whole ranking will have to be opened until the last of the Stones are alive.

To put it simply, they have been: grandfathers, fathers and sons of rock and roll and will continue to be so without ever being able to get satisfaction. Last, but by no means least, there is one admirable fact about The Rolling Stones. And that, they were always admirers of Muddy Waters, incredible artist and absolute pioneer of rock and roll in the United States of America, to the point that the band's name itself is a tribute to Waters' song called "Rollin' Stone".
As if that wasn't enough, it didn't stop with the mere name for the English boys, it continues. In the 80's The Rolling Stones took part of their tours to introduce the general public to the great Muddy Waters and even cover songs with their lifelong idol (of the band in general). This is not just another rock band, it is an institution of how to enter immortality.

Ah, the STones! I was brought up on them. My Dad has nearly everything they did on vinyl. I still love Exile on Main Street.
