La salud emocional, un reto actual / Emotional health, a current challenge (Esp- Eng)

De entre los muchos impactos que la pandemia nos causó, lo referente a la salud mental: nerviosismo, ansiedad, preocupación o desánimo, sumado a ello la volatilidad social, la inestabilidad económica, han sido retos que estamos teniendo para volver a nuestras actividades diarias.

Eso nos ha llevado a caminar en oscuridad, esa que se traduce en miedo por el mañana, esa que se expresa en el terror por no saber qué dirección tomar, dominándonos la incertidumbre, haciendo presencia, la ansiedad y su patología, la depresión.

El dolor, que traspasa lo físico, y las dudas, nos van ahogando, ante cualquier circunstancia sentimos que nos hundimos, que caemos en un pozo cuyo fondo no aparece. Apareciendo experiencias pasadas que alimentan el fantasmagórico hoy.

Todo esto va resquebrajando nuestra salud emocional, somos incapaces de afrontar nuestras emociones, eso nos duele, nos avergüenza y nos hace sentir débiles. Muchos corremos a buscar ayuda, otros vivimos como si nada pasara y otros decidimos actuar por nuestra cuenta propia.

Es hoy el momento para accionar, para así recuperar nuestra capacidad de sentirnos bien con nosotros mismos, de sanar, para construir relaciones de calidad, donde podamos disfrutar nuestras emociones. Es allí donde radica la importancia de buscar ayuda profesional, porque solo encerrarnos a descansar, sin orientación ni estrategias acordes, pueden ser contraproducentes.

La salud emocional es un reto actual, importante y muy valioso, que asumiéndolo positivamente nos permitirá vivir en plenitud y bienestar, no lo olvides.




Emotional health, a current challenge

Among the many impacts that the pandemic caused us, the mental health issues: nervousness, anxiety, worry or discouragement, added to social volatility, economic instability, have been challenges that we are having to return to our daily activities.

This has led us to walk in darkness, that which translates into fear for tomorrow, that which is expressed in the terror of not knowing what direction to take, dominating us uncertainty, making presence, anxiety and its pathology, depression.

The pain, which goes beyond the physical, and the doubts, are drowning us, in any circumstance we feel that we are sinking, that we are falling into a well whose bottom does not appear. Past experiences appear that feed the phantasmagoric today.

All of this is cracking our emotional health, we are unable to cope with our emotions, it hurts us, embarrasses us and makes us feel weak. Many of us run to seek help, others live as if nothing happened and others decide to act on our own.

Today is the time to act, to recover our ability to feel good about ourselves, to heal, to build quality relationships, where we can enjoy our emotions. That is where the importance of seeking professional help lies, because just shutting ourselves away to rest, without guidance or appropriate strategies, can be counterproductive.

Emotional health is a current challenge, important and very valuable, that assuming it positively will allow us to live in fullness and well-being, do not forget it.
