Horizon Zero Dawn: TallNeck (Cyber Giraffe) - Devil's Thirst.
Today, I would like to talk about overriding a TallNeck also we know as Cyber Giraffe of Horizon Zero Dawn. This TallNeck is recognized for its location Devil's Thirst.
You may watch the video above to see the gameplay yourself and I bet you won't regret watching the gameplay.
Objective Log
The only objective of the TallNeck quest is jumping on their back and overriding them. They remembers anything along their path and sends what it sees to other machines, so if I can override it then it stops sending signals to other machines and that's the goal.
The TallNeck of Devil's Thirst was 1492 walk away from my location, so I mounted the last overridden Strider and I started riding it towards the TallNeck.
And I was passing this fantastic place while I was leaving for the TallNeck and I didn't forget to capture photos of hits place while I was riding the Strider.
I was trying to take shortcuts ignoring the direct path and that took me to this fantastic forest that's full of beauty although there were dangers beneath this beauty.
There was a machine called Scrapper that noticed me when I was enjoying the beauty and then I left the Strider and I started hitting that Scrapper and I could take it down after some hits. And then then there came some Striders when I already lost some health so did my Strider so I didn't take the fight and I escaped that place taking the Strider.
I kept riding while discovering more machine sites, and at a point, I've found a place with some Striders and I overridden a new one as my previous one already lost some health.
Then I started riding again and I fell in this rain scene as well. I'm amazed seeing all these scenic views in a single game.
There was a Bandit camp on the way that I didn't wish to interact with.
But I stopped there after seeing a Bandit on a watch tower as I thought I'd just kill him and leave the place but that one kill led me into fighting all the Bandits there.
Then I thought of finishing off all the Bandits here and take over on the camp and I did that although it took me sometimes doing it.
Then there came some outcasts there to ask for my permission whether they can use the camp to stay and I gave them my permission and I was looking for the Strider to start riding again for the TallNeck but it seemed the Strider was taken down so I started running.
And I've found another Striders Site from where, I took another Strider that took me close to the TallNeck.
And I've found the TallNeck which was walking with great pleasure. I tried to understand how I can jump on its back and I tried jumping through its leg which was not a good move as I lost a big portion of health in trying that.
So I started looking for tall buildings near that path which the TallNeck was following for its walk.
There was these broken statues that shows two horse riders although one has a broken head.
Then I've found a building close to the path and I've also found options to climb it and after climbing it for sometimes, I could see the head of the TallNeck was close to me so I thought I could make it from here.
And I've found a Vantage Cache there that I accessed through the focus. This Vantage Point is about Colorado Springs and its the first one I've found out of 12 and there was an audio that I didn't care to listen but I could see modern buildings there and those should be before the machines took control over the world.
And these amazing views from there and there was something that I could use to rappel down as well.
Well, I did a jump from the place that I thought I could make it to the TallNeck but no, its much far form the TallNeck and Aloy was died there from the fall.
From the checkpoint, I looked for another way in and I've found this building and I gave a try on this one although there were some Watchers there which made the task harder.
But at last I've found a spot from where I can jump on the back of the TallNeck and then on its head.
There were some parts of the TallNeck that's meant for me to climb up and I had to jump from one to another in order to go up.
I kept jumping on those steps until I reached the head of the TallNeck.
And I was there at last. It felt good climbing the top of this tall machine.
Now its time to use the overridden tool to override the TallNeck so that it can't send signals to other machines anymore.
And then it was completed. I successfully overridden the TallNeck of Devil's Thirst.
Then when I was rappelling down from the TallNeck, it seemed like it released its signal from it and I thought every machines that was near it would be overridden automatically but I was wrong about that. After I finished overridden this TallNeck I haven't seen any changes yet.
The next chapter will be coming soon.
Screenshots are my take from the game and there's a logo that I used on the thumbnail picture.

Thanks a lot for the confirmation.
I sure will.
Very good screenshots. That big machine looks awesome and I liked watching you climbing the big building. Finishing off the bandit camp looked hard as you took a lot time there.
Actually I feel sorry that I left that area without checking on other buildings. And I like taking these screenshots. And you're right about fighting the bandit camp being hard.
Thanks for stopping by.
No problem, I liked reading your post.
Horizon Zero Dawn's creatures will never cease to impress me, they are so original and besides the fact that their designs are incredible is the fact that they are also mechanically designed in a logical way.
Besides being impressed by the tallneck I also loved the screenshots you took, they look great.
I never thought of such creatures before I knew about this game. The game developers has done a fantastic job with this game.
I enjoyed taking those screenshots, thanks for stopping by and for leaving your opinions.
I wonder if you will be able to ride that Cyber giraffe. The scene where you jumped on it was very exciting lol. I was sure you couldn't do it hahaha.
Believe me I was also thinking the same when I first saw the Cyber Giraffe and I thought I'd be able to ride it when no creatures can harm me but now I see its different in reality.
I was also confused if I could do it, but look it's done. Thanks for stopping by and for supporting the content.
You're much appreciated, my friend. Thanks for advising me to keep active in this blockchain. It's getting more interested now getting comments of strangers.
Right? Now you are having more fun in Hive when you engage with other authors. I hope you keep it like that!
You're right, it's more fun. I will try to keep it like this.
You're doing so well capturing such nice screenshots.
Jumping on that big machine almost looked impossible but I see at last you made it. Keep playing.
