Happy Sunday my dear Motherhood Community ✨

I know that Halloween has to do with costumes and horror movies, but I think all parents have lived a horror story at some time and we are not born learned, we have episodes with our children that escape from our hands so today I join the challenge of the week to tell you my horror stories that motherhood has given me.

InShot_20221030_101908104.jpg

In my case there have been several terrifying episodes with Camila of those that we are breathless, breathing is accelerated and sometimes in shock without knowing how to react, the first was when Camila was two months old as you know at home we are only my husband Camila and I so the late nights have always been shared there was an early morning that Camila was awake until 5am and woke up again at 7am Jose had to work and I did not wake him so I could not with so much tiredness in the day.

I had the habit of laying her on my chest and breastfeeding her like that, at that moment I don't know how much time passed but I fell asleep, Camila was drinking her tetica and when I woke up after I don't know how many minutes or seconds she was choking and she was even starting to turn purple I immediately got up and started to run, screaming José was in his office and he didn't even dare to carry her I picked her up and she didn't respond until I knocked on the door of the neighbour across the street and literally threw her in his arms.

InShot_20221030_102229457.jpg

The neighbour in the middle of her nerves gave her first aid with a few pats on the back, I did nothing but cry and scream. Until I heard her cry again, from that day on I never slept breastfeeding Camila again. It was such a traumatic experience that I never wanted to be alone with her, even when she started feeding her, it was my biggest fear that she would choke and I didn't know what to do.

Another terrifying episode was when Camila caught a diarrhoea and vomiting virus, she was a year and a half old and had never been sick before, she spent the night vomiting so much that she couldn't even tolerate water, just that day they had declared a pandemic in the country and we couldn't go out in the street, the clinics were closed and absolutely everything was closed. Her paediatrician, faced with the situation we were going through with Camila, decided to give her emergency treatment as she had signs of dehydration and had to give her intravenous treatment. On the way to the clinic I was very anxious because I didn't know what to do because the pandemic situation was new and I couldn't find anything to do and Camila fainted on the way to the clinic, we arrived at the emergency room and the doctor was very worried and they gave her a treatment and thank God it didn't become anything more dangerous.

The third and last episode because there have been several but these are the ones that have filled me with fear and even trauma, was one day when we were in a big super market here in my city, Camila at that time was one of the girls who ran everywhere so we had to be very attentive to her, usually we took her riding in the shopping cart but I don't know what happened that time she was walking, I go to one aisle and my husband walks to another with her and well I was calmly looking at some products, Suddenly José came up to me without Camila and told me that he couldn't find her, I immediately felt my body cold and I started to run around the super market for about 10 minutes that for me were eternal, until José brought her by the hand Camila was playing hide and seek and a super market worker was the one who got her, I don't know if you have gone through this but I felt like I was going to die haha I imagined everything until I would never see her again. Thank God we were able to find her and then we established rules so that this would never happen again because it was really horrible to live this experience.

IMG_20220213_134223.jpg

As a result of these episodes I became very nervous, when Camila got sick I would lose my appetite, now little by little I have managed to overcome this and calm myself down to act in the best way and know that she will be fine. The task of being parents is not easy, living everything for the first time and not knowing what to do is complicated, motherhood offers us magnificent moments with our children as well as horror stories that could leave us with traumas that are difficult to overcome.

I loved this challenge and being able to tell these not so nice stories about my motherhood, one of the things that affected me the most in these two situations is that I felt like a "bad mother" I felt that I was not fulfilling my role well and that is why these things happened, now with the experience even though I am still living things for the first time I know that it was not my fault they were things that unfortunately happened and thanks to them I learned more even to help and guide other mums.

Thanks for reading me, see you next post 👻💞

Saludos y Bendiciones 😊
