To speak of reconciliation means to speak of forgiveness; but how can you forgive someone who has ruined your life and the lives of others? Can you forgive a government (head of government, president, dictator, etc.) that is directly responsible for the death of family members, friends and acquaintances? Is it healthy to forget and coexist, as if nothing has happened, with those responsible for the forced immigration of millions? Would you forgive those who have starved you, terrorized you, criminalized you and taken away your freedom and quality of life? In this post we will talk about the possibility of reconciliation from the scenario of politics and war.

You may wonder why I, as a Venezuelan, talk about war in my country. I always tell people that we, Venezuelans, are fighting an internal war against the Chavista-Madurista-Castro government. Do you know how many Venezuelans have died at the hands of criminals because the government never wanted to put an end to crime, but rather used it as a shock force to terrorize any decent Venezuelan who dared to protest against it? Do you know how many times I saw people eating out of the garbage? I remember once a man, all filthy and starving, rummaging through the garbage in search of food, while fighting with a stray dog that also claimed part of the spoils of misery. A Dantesque spectacle I will never forget.

Let's talk about the destruction of institutions.This government, which is militaristic in nature, has been successful in applying the scorched-earth policy. This military strategy consists of destroying everything that is of benefit to the enemy. It has thus been responsible for destroying the economy, laws, health, labor, foreign relations and educative institution. The destruction of the latter is the one that gnaws my soul with sadness, rage, hatred and indignation. This government has purposely managed to destroy schools and universities.

In the photos above, you can see just the rumbles of what The Universidad de Oriente in Cumaná used to be. It looks like it was destroyed by a bombardment of an enemy army like the ones made by the invading Russian army in Ukrainian cities like Mariupol; but, it is not. In Venezuela, we have been shelled by our own government. Looking at these photos is like identifying a corpse which is totally unrecognizable. I cannot recognized the place where I once studied and worked . This is so sad and unforgivable.

You might be wondering what the reason for all this destruction is, and I'll tell you that the answer is simple: they apply the principle of social control as it is much easier to control an uneducated, hungry and terrorized mass. They know that by destroying universities they manage to destroy the progress and development of the country. They manage to prevent people from having productive and independent jobs that give them economic and individual freedom. They avoid that at all costs. This type of government plunges you into misery and hunger and then, like to hungry dogs, it throws you crumbs of bread for you to be grateful. They do this with the miserable bonuses they give and the bags of food they sell to the people. All this is done so that the citizens depend exclusively on them.

Then, how can good Venezuelans talk about reconciliation and coexistence with this bunch of criminals who have "ruled" the country in the last 24 years ? The well-intentioned Venezuelans, not the opportunistic and upstart ones (of which there are plenty) would like to see all these criminal in jail. We would feel justice has been made if they were stripped of all their ill-gotten wealth. The same goes to all those who called themselves opposition and who have just sold their souls for a few dollars.

The reconciliation proposed by the government and which is meekly accepted by the pseudo-politicians of the opposition is simply a pantomime. A crude deception. Both parties justify their actions using the recovery of democracy and the rule of law as an excuse; but we all know that this is not so. They are only looking for their personal comfort, and their easy access to power and money. Thus, they sell themselves and mock the dignity of the people. To speak of reconciliation when there is a power that oppresses, controls and pulls all the strings of life is a big lie. I do not forgive. I do not believe in this reconciliation.

Hablar de reconciliación significa hablar de perdón; pero ¿cómo se puede perdonar a alguien que ha arruinado tu vida y la de los demás? ¿Se puede perdonar a un gobierno (jefe de gobierno, presidente, dictador, etc.) que es responsable directo de la muerte de familiares, amigos y conocidos? ¿Es saludable olvidar y convivir, como si nada hubiera pasado, con los responsables de la inmigración forzada de millones de personas? ¿Perdonarías a quienes te han matado de hambre, te han aterrorizado, te han criminalizado y te han quitado tu libertad y tu calidad de vida? En este post hablaremos de la posibilidad de reconciliación desde el escenario de la política y la guerra.

Se preguntarán por qué yo, como venezolano, hablo de la guerra en mi país. Siempre le digo a la gente que los venezolanos estamos librando una guerra interna contra el gobierno chavista-madurista-castrista. ¿Sabes cuántos venezolanos han muerto a manos de delincuentes porque el gobierno nunca quiso acabar con la delincuencia, sino que la utilizó como fuerza de choque para aterrorizar a cualquier venezolano decente que se atreviera a protestar contra él? ¿Saben cuántas veces vi a gente comiendo de la basura? Recuerdo una vez a un hombre, todo mugriento y hambriento, hurgando en la basura en busca de comida, mientras peleaba con un perro callejero que también reclamaba parte del botín de la miseria. Un espectáculo dantesco que nunca olvidaré.

Hablemos de la destrucción de las instituciones.Este gobierno, de carácter militarista, ha tenido éxito en la aplicación de la política de tierra quemada. Esta estrategia militar consiste en destruir todo lo que beneficia al enemigo. Así, se ha encargado de destruir la economía, las leyes, la salud, el trabajo, las relaciones exteriores y la institución educativa. La destrucción de esta última es la que roe mi alma de tristeza, rabia, odio e indignación. Este gobierno ha logrado destruir a propósito las escuelas y las universidades.

En las fotos de arriba, se pueden ver sólo los restos de lo que fue la Universidad de Oriente en Cumaná. Parece que fue destruida por un bombardeo de un ejército enemigo como los realizados por el ejército invasor ruso en ciudades ucranianas como Mariupol; pero, no es así. En Venezuela hemos sido bombardeados por nuestro propio gobierno. Mirar estas fotos es como identificar un cadáver totalmente irreconocible. No puedo reconocer el lugar donde una vez estudié y trabajé. Esto es muy triste e imperdonable.

Se preguntarán cuál es la razón de toda esta destrucción, y les diré que la respuesta es sencilla: aplican el principio de control social, ya que es mucho más fácil controlar a una masa inculta, hambrienta y aterrorizada. Saben que destruyendo las universidades consiguen destruir el progreso y el desarrollo del país. Consiguen impedir que la gente tenga trabajos productivos e independientes que le den libertad económica e individual. Evitan eso a toda costa. Este tipo de gobierno te hunde en la miseria y el hambre y luego, como a los perros hambrientos, te arroja migajas de pan para que agradezcas. Esto lo hacen con los miserables bonos que dan y las bolsas de comida que venden al pueblo. Todo esto lo hacen para que los ciudadanos dependan exclusivamente de ellos.

Entonces, ¿cómo pueden los venezolanos de bien hablar de reconciliación y convivencia con esta panda de delincuentes que han "gobernado" el país en los últimos 24 años? Los venezolanos bien intencionados, no los oportunistas y advenedizos (que los hay) quisiéramos ver a todos estos delincuentes en la cárcel. Sentiríamos que se ha hecho justicia si se les despoja de todas sus riquezas mal habidas. Lo mismo ocurre con todos aquellos que se llaman a sí mismos oposición y que sólo han vendido su alma por unos pocos dólares.

La reconciliación que propone el gobierno y que aceptan mansamente los pseudo-políticos de la oposición es simplemente una pantomima. Un burdo engaño. Ambas partes justifican sus acciones poniendo como excusa la recuperación de la democracia y el estado de derecho; pero todos sabemos que no es así. Sólo buscan su comodidad personal, y su fácil acceso al poder y al dinero. Así, se venden y se burlan de la dignidad del pueblo. Hablar de reconciliación cuando hay un poder que oprime, controla y maneja todos los hilos de la vida es una gran mentira. Yo no perdono. No creo en esta reconciliación.
