Navidad a la distancia [ESP-ENG] Christmas in the distance

Feliz navidad mis amores, ¿Qué tal? ¿Cómo la están pasando? Yo bien, a pesar de todo bien. Hoy fui a visitar a mi hermana y compartí con mi sobrinita un rato, jugamos, nos reímos y pasé por casa de mi papá, para refrescar a quienes no me han leído papá tiene COVID, y ha estado mal, por tanto debemos estar alejados, aún así pasé por casa de mis papás lo saludé desde lejitos y con mamá hablé un rato, con fuerzas y alegría me vine a casa.

Merry Christmas my loves, how are you doing? How are you doing? I am fine, in spite of everything. Today I went to visit my sister and shared with my niece for a while, we played, we laughed and I went by my dad's house, to refresh those who have not read me, dad has COVID, and has been ill, so we must be away, even so I went by my parents' house I greeted him from far away and I talked to mom for a while, with strength and joy I came home.

Es difícil cuando pasamos la primera navidad lejos de casa, de mamá y papá, de tus hermanos, si eres muy apegado, pues ha de ser duro, no poder ver a tus hermanos abrir regalos, no ver a tu sobrina jugar con sus muñequitas, ni cenar el delicioso pasticho de mamá, o esperar que tus papás saquen un perfume, una franela, o un dulce por el amigo secreto dónde intercambiamos regalos... Es duro crecer y darte cuenta de que la calle está vacía, ya no hay niños, no puedes jugar y distraerte, solo hay cansancio, ganas de dormir, o de beber hasta olvidar el nombre. ¿Te ha pasado? Aún con todas mis negatividades y tristezas, debo reconocer qué, estoy feliz y/o más tranquila porque tenemos una pandemia, una escasez, una economía dañada, y así mil y un cosas, mis papás tienen vida y salud, eso es muy importante, verdad? ¿Lo han pensado así? Tienen a algún familiar amado que aunque tengan lejos les reconforta saber que tiene vida? Bueno, aunque las navidades no sean como antes, es bueno recordar lo vivido y seguir, agradecer y aprender que aunque todo cambie, nuestro espíritu debe ser positivo.

It is difficult when we spend the first Christmas away from home, from mom and dad, from your siblings, if you are very attached, it must be hard, not being able to see your siblings open presents, not seeing your niece playing with her dolls, not having mom's delicious pasticho for dinner, or waiting for your parents to bring out a perfume, a flannel, or a sweet for the secret friend where we exchange gifts... It's hard to grow up and realize that the street is empty, there are no more children, you can't play and distract yourself, there is only tiredness, the desire to sleep, or to drink until you forget the name. Has it ever happened to you? Even with all my negativities and sadness, I must admit that, I am happy and/or calmer because we have a pandemic, a shortage, a damaged economy, and a thousand and one things, my parents have life and health, that is very important, isn't it? Have you ever thought so? Do you have a loved family member that even though they are far away, it comforts you to know that they are alive? Well, even if Christmas is not like before, it is good to remember what we have lived and go on, to thank and learn that even if everything changes, our spirit must be positive.

A todas estas, hice una cenita bien buena, no quería vestirme pero me puse un vestidito que me regaló mi mamá, y me quedé con Juan, cenamos, y hablamos un ratico y aunque mi mente y corazón está al lado de mis papitos, estoy feliz en compañía del amor de mi vida.

I didn't want to get dressed but I put on a little dress that my mom gave me, and I stayed with Juan, we had dinner, and we talked for a while and even though my mind and heart is next to my parents, I am happy in the company of the love of my life.
