Vermicelli Katori
Hello Foodies,
Happy Tuesday everyone. Hope this new week is treating you well. We are having two more holidays due to a Chinese delegation who are visiting our city so we are on holidays in Islamabad only. Rest of the people going to offices and schools. Also, the weather condition is appreciable due to windy and rainy weather. The las morning was damn so hot so we thought there is no chance of rain but suddenly the clouds covered the sky completely later in the last evening. Thankfully, this weather is blessing in such heated weather.
Okay, I wanted to share a dessert recipe which I created for iftari so I though I should shared first here. Hope you gonna like it too. The shape of katories flatted a bit because I shaped them in a chocolate hot bomb mould that's why the shape was round rather than square. But rest of the recipe is amazing to have right after a proper meal.
Vermicelli Katori
This is a little different in shape but a typical recipe which is used to make on any special occasion or even guests about to visit our place. So it goes very well when it comes to something yummy dessert.
Let's get started with recipe:

For Katori:

Vermicelli | 140g | |
Butter | 1tbsp | |
Condensed Milk | 2tbsp | |
Water | as needed |
For Filling:
Name | Quantity | |
---|---|---|
Sugar | 3-4tbsp | |
Colourful Vermicelli | 1/3rd cup | |
Fresh Milk | 2.5 cups | |
Custard Powder | 1tbsp |
In a sauce pan, add thin sized vermicelli and roast it with butter
Add water gradually if needed
Now add condensed milk and mix well then turn off the flame when water absorbed completely
I got hot chocolate bomb mould and shaped there cooked vermicelli and put in the fridge for an hour though square cupcake shape is recommended
Meanwhile, prepare filling by adding fresh milk to the pan when the milk getting to boil, add sugar and colourful vermicelli and cook
When the vermicellis cooked well, add custard powder mixture (mix 1 tbsp custard powder with milk) to the pan and keep stirring until dissolved
Turn off the flame and let it cool down completely
Now take out the vermicelli katori and add 1tbsp of custard filling and serve cold
