Recorre conmigo el parque la Isla [Esp / Eng]

Saludos a toda la comunidad. Espero estén teniendo una gran semana.

Hace mucho tiempo les comenté que me gustaba andar en bicicleta y había llegado muy lejos con ella y estaba muy orgulloso de mi desempeño en particular. Era mi medio de transporte por la ciudad. Pero, lamentándolo mucho sufrí una lesión y estoy recuperando mi cuerpo para poder aventurarme con mi bici nuevamente. Parte de mi rutina para poder fortalecerme nuevamente han sido las caminatas.

Al principio me sentí algo incómodo al salir para hacer algo de actividad física. Sin mi bicicleta, sentí que estaba incompleto, como si hubiese olvidado algo en casa. Los recorridos que quería hacer también eran los que hacía en bicicleta. También me tuve que mentalizar en que no podía recorrer en la mayoría de los casos los mismos sitios principalmente por la distancia. Así que, decidí recorrer espacios de la ciudad.

Hay un lugar que ya se me ha hecho costumbre visitar y es el que les he traído el día de hoy. Se llama el Parque de la Isla, está ubicado en el municipio Libertador del estado Mérida en Venezuela.

A long time ago i told you that i loved riding my bike and had come a long way on it and was very proud of my particular performance. It was my mode of transportation around town. But, sadly i suffered an injury and am getting my body back in shape so that i can venture out on my bike again. Part of my routine to get stronger again has been walking.

At first i felt a little uncomfortable getting out for some physical activity. Without my bike, i felt like i was incomplete, like i had forgotten something at home. The rides i wanted to do were also the ones i did on my bike. I also had to psych myself up to the fact that i could not ride in most cases the same places mainly because of the distance. So, i decided to ride around the city.

There is a place that i have already made a habit of visiting and it is the one I have brought you today. It is called Parque de la Isla, it is located in the Libertador municipality of the state of Merida in Venezuela.

Este parque lo conozco desde niño y como casi todo, con el pasar del tiempo muchas cosas han cambiado. Pero, lo bonito del lugar aún se preserva.

I have known this park since i was a child and like almost everything, with the passing of time many things have changed. But, the beauty of the place is still preserved.

Como observarán es un parque especialmente hecho para los niños y las familias. Los momentos en que suelo hacer mis caminatas las hago en la mañana y entre semana y los niños están en clases. Así que mucha de esa vida que solo los niños pueden otorgar a las cosas o los espacios no la puedo transmitir en las fotos.

As you can see it is a park specially made for children and families. The times when i usually do my walks i do them in the morning and during the week and the children are in classes. So a lot of that life that only children can give to things or spaces cannot be transmitted in the photos.

Pueden ver los toboganes algunos de hasta 3 metros de altura y otros juegos y todos existen desde que soy niño.

En la laguna que pueden ver a continuación, también se puede andar en botes a pedal o de remos.

You can see the slides, some up to 3 meters high and other games and all of them have existed since I was a child.

In the lagoon that you can see below, you can also ride in pedal boats or paddle boats.

Podrán imaginar las incontables cosas que hacen los niños en los juegos, sus aventuras…. Los picnics o cumpleaños que las familias organizan debajo de los pabellones o árboles, aunque cuidado porque algunos tienen hormigas dispuestas a luchar por la comida (ya nos la hemos encontrado en un par de ocasiones)

You can imagine the countless things the children do in the playground, their adventures.... The picnics or birthdays that families organize under the pavilions or trees, but be careful because some of them have ants ready to fight for food (we have already met them a couple of times)

En el medio de la laguna se levanta una fuente de sodas. Lamentándolo mucho hace algunos años dejó de funcionar. Pero, mis recuerdos de niño me dicen que vendían de todo, chocolates, juguetes, muñecas, dulces, caramelos… Pero lo que más recuerdo son unos helados, que se acaban muy rápido pero que era casi obligatorio comerlos cuando visitábamos el lugar.

In the middle of the lagoon there is a soda fountain. Regrettably, a few years ago it stopped working. But, my childhood memories tell me that they sold everything, chocolates, toys, dolls, candies, sweets, candies... But what I remember most are the ice creams, which ran out very quickly but it was almost obligatory to eat them when we visited the place.

El parque posee un pequeño anfiteatro, que suele estar más activos los fines de semana con presentaciones con marionetas o payasitos para los niños. También suelen usarlo para algún tipo de reunión.

The park has a small amphitheater, which is usually more active on weekends with puppet or clown shows for the children. It is also used for some kind of meeting.

El lugar es muy tranquilo para caminar, hacer ejercicios, jugar fútbol, básquet, voleibol o hasta tenis en sus dos canchas disponibles o si gustas rebotar el balón en la grama también muchos lo suelen hacer.

The place is very quiet for walking, exercising, playing soccer, basketball, volleyball or even tennis in its two available courts or if you like to bounce the ball on the grass, many people also do it.

El parque de la Isla como podrán imaginar recibe su nombre justamente por el diseño arquitectónico con el que se construyó que lo hace parece flotar sobre el agua de la laguna.

Como niño, lo recuerdo con mucha vida, muchas cosas que hacer y explorar y supongo que como iba más que todo los fines de semana, el lugar estaba repleto de otros niños con quién compartir. Ya como adulto, veo sus defectos y algunas cosas que dejaron de funcionar, pero aún me parece un lugar muy agradable para pasar el rato, hacer deporte y recrearse. Siempre que tengo la oportunidad de pasar a través de él, lo hago

Siempre que voy al parque me dan ganas de montarme a los toboganes jajaj. Me da nostalgia todos los recuerdos que viví aquí con mis hermanos y amigos y la nostalgia va en incremento cuando me doy cuenta que aún hay personas que cuidan el parque y que quieren que las personas sigan creando gratos recuerdos en él

The Island Park, as you can imagine, gets its name from the architectural design with which it was built, which makes it seem to float on the water of the lagoon.

As a child, i remember it with a lot of life, many things to do and explore and i suppose that since i went mostly on weekends, the place was full of other children to share it with. As an adult, i see its flaws and some things that no longer work, but i still find it a very nice place to hang out, play sports and recreate. Whenever i have the opportunity to walk through it, i do.

Whenever I go to the park it always makes me want to ride the slides hahahah. I get nostalgic for all the memories I lived here with my siblings and friends and the nostalgia is increasing when I realize that there are still people who take care of the park and want people to continue creating pleasant memories in it.
