Three Photo Thursday

Yesterday saw a market pal and I sit down to take a market conversation to a new level. We're talking about collaborating on projects that rock his socks and mine. It potentially gives me the opportunity to do stuff I am good at (planning and organising little learning events) and food and words... And, hopefully earn us a little dosh along the way.

A bit of a blur, but this will be the subject of the first offering.

A less pretty, but also hand made version of this tofu press will be part of the deal. The Husband will be trying his hand at a prototype with a view to production soon. This is Sy's labour of love. On loan and with which he will not part!

Clearly, I will share more as things develop...

It was our first over 30°C day! Our discussion was on the stoep and I prepared our salad supper and started the rolls for the market with the doors and windows wide open.

It was a good feeling. It was a good day.

Until next time, be well

I use the kitchen trash can for a Tofu press, I press it down in there, cover it up and leave it! 🤣 Sorry I just never could acquire a taste for it, I honestly tried. I love Chinese cuisine, tried stir-frying it - nope. Tried pan-frying it to crisp it a bit, that was almost tolerable but - nope. Tried mixing it with eggplant which I love to help blend and hide it - still nope. Really strange for me because I eat just about anything. My wife loves it however so every now and again I make it for her (but I don't eat it) LOL.

🤣🤣 Funny you should say that. Sy, who isnof mixed French and Chinese parentage says something similar.

I will try anything and am looking forward to playing with it. I've eaten it, not prepared it myself.

In our - his- defense, we are responding to demand... Let's see what unfolds...

I am looking forward to this project and, yes, I am sure I shall blog about it as it unfolds. We lean more towards flexitarian. I wrote about it here.

"flexitarian", I have heard that phrase before... I think I am that as well however when given the option and the ability to, I choose vegetables. However if traveling and someone who doesn't have a lot offers me a meal, I'm not going to refuse based on moral judgments. ❤️

Actually, it's a bit more than that as I discovered and as I wrote about in the post to which I linked in my comment. Have a good weekend...
