silver streams

This was the view from our bedroom window yesterday morning: sunrise silver streams from two days and 46mm of rain. The puddle next to the painted "top" is our informal guage of how much rain has fallen. The silver streams tell us it hasn't long stopped.

My plan for yesterday, was to finish the final admin and communication bits - for the stallholders and social media for the McGregor Winter Fair. It was neither quick nor simple. Windows decided to do a massive update. And some of the people behind the stalls turned into fickle felines refusing to be herded. Which is necessary because the weather is, apparently, not playing ball.

What will be, will be.

The Husband (who himself is a little under the weather), collected these robust brown paper bags for that our customers can now buy for their market loot. I share this consignment with my market pal. We won't (or don't expect to) sell them all this weekend, but at least patrons will have carriers for their wares.

Today is entirely in my other office and cooking up a storm. Day one of two before D-day.

Oh, and we shall have overnight guests in the Little Room: the daughter (and his and) of a stallholder who's rather elderly and frail and needs help. T and I remember each other from childhood and uni days...

Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
I blog to the Hive blockchain using a number of decentralised appplications.
  • From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

  • Join Hive using this link and then join us in the Silver Bloggers' community by clicking on the logo.

  • lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.
