Friday Files - the marmalade mission begins
(Edited)
Yesterday was day 1 of this weekend's marmalade mission: a fresh batch of three fruit. Before the weekend's out, there will be another marmalade batch. And I have other plans for a bunch of those lovely lemons.
While the marmalade marms...
The makings of, and, roasted Moroccan butternut soup. For today's market, and by popular demand.
And to end...more lemon...
Our parsley in the sauce. Our fennel on the fish. Best of all, the first of our own lemons for juice drizzled on the fish before baking and on the side for eating.
I promised lemon spam...
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

- lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.

Do you have a book coming out?
Nope, why?
Me encanta 😊
Great to see you creating so much delicious food and some goes to the market. Hope they sell all @fionasfavourites 😁
Have a great day 👋🏻
I'm a sucker for lemons, use it as a marinade for chicken & lamb chops, make lemon curd, use the zest in desserts & baking and of course when baking fish. Your Marmalade looks divine, I managed to get some lovely oranges & will make some Marmalade before it's all eaten.
Hole you're going to rest tomorrow Fiona!
No home should be without lemons! Today, I have lemon chilli marmalade on the agenda and chilli jam...and...🤣
Do you ever stop Fiona?
I'm also going to make Marmalade today as I'm tired of the factory version! Maybe make some Lemon Curd as well.
Have a good Sunday!
After the market on Saturdays. 🤣
Can't wait for orange season to domarmalade again!
That is a great idea that I must pinch, putting the soup in jars to keep for later (yes, I know that you were selling them). If they aren't frozen, how long do they keep?
The jars are sterilised and I do a hot fill and they seal as they cool. So, effectively, I am canning the soup which makes for a long shelf life.
