Sweet Peas on a Three Photo Thursday

Again, it's all about garden loot. Well mostly. Last night's frittata supper with the sweetest mangetout came from a market mate's cabbage patch. A barter: he must still choose what. He has a penchant for marmalade and paté...

With an onion, mushrooms and fresh herbs (just Italian parsley and fennel), the flavour is subtle, delicate and fresh. I recommend the combination.

Instead of as dessert, the strawberries went into the salad with another favourite flavour partner: basil.

An easy Thursday supper after the now usual start to kitchen Friday which involves making the dough for the rolls and which ferments overnight to improve their flavour. It also gives me a headstart for what are usually long kitchen Fridays.
