A Delicious Mess. With help from the garden

Yesterday was all about garden loot. It began with the first picking of roses.

Then

Last night's messy supper was all the more delicious because of garden loot and local produce.

Doing things backwards: dessert of fresh strawberries, full cream yoghurt and a dollop of honey.

I made them early so the flavours could develop.

Then it was burgers: I made a batch of patties based on the burgers that were served at that late 80s and 90s iconic Camps Bay establishment, Blues. Of course I have made them my own, and one of the secrets is the pile of fresh herbs.

Served between two sides of my sourdough buns, the finished product was a juicy, drippy, delicious mess.

That batch made 12 patties. That's five meals stashed in the deep freeze.
