Hello friends of Hive and my dear family of Hive Open Mic, I'm Fernando Benedetti from @fernanblog; How great has been this beginning of the year with great themes that have made us go to that which motivates us, that gives us happiness, that excites and thrills us from the silence and now, that gives us freedom ... this year will be great for this community, not only more artists are integrated, but also grow our dreams and joys bringing music from around the world!
For this week it was up to the great @esteliopadilla to choose the theme and the explanation he gives us in his presentation this week he couldn't say it better and if you haven't seen his post, what are you waiting for? it's BRUTAL!!!
Freedom is a right and is what makes us live in harmony and peace, however, freedom always comes hand in hand with wars and suffering, at least that's what we have seen and experienced throughout the history of humanity...
Ethics by itself leads us to the duty to be, to the respect for the integrity of oneself and others, it is a value that when it becomes a behavior, guarantees individual and collective well-being.
Today I bring you a song that I always carry in my playlists, a song that every time I listen to it I feel that freedom, because somehow it frees me from the negative. The song is by Foster The People, one of the best northamerican indie rock bands out there.
Are You What You Want To Be? Or Eres Lo Que Quieres Ser? in Spanish, is a song that speaks of freedom, of the struggle of the people against their oppressors, of the search for one's own identity and the place where one grows up; the band's vocalist, Mike Foster, wrote it on one of the band's tours of the African continent in 2012, which is why the Afrobeat rhythm of the song is what stands out the most, besides being perfectly fused with rock, making it a song that is hard to stop listening to.
This is the 4th single that belongs to the band's 2nd studio album called "Supermodel", released in 2014. As an interesting fact, this song was so successful that it was added as the soundtrack for the FIFA 15 video game.
Music will always be freedom at its best... so here is my submission for week 94 of the Hive Open Mic; with that said... ¡Let's rock!
Hola amigos de Hive y de mi querida familia de Hive Open Mic, soy Fernando Benedetti de @fernanblog; Que grandioso ha sido este inicio de año con grandes temáticas que nos han hecho ir a aquello que nos motiva, que nos da felicidad, que nos ilusiona y emociona desde el silencio y ahora, que nos da libertad… este año será grandioso para esta comunidad, no solo se integran más artistas, sino que también crecen nuestros sueños y alegrías trayendo música desde varias partes del mundo!!!
Para esta semana le correspondió al gran @esteliopadilla elegir la temática y la explicación que nos plantea en su presentación de esta semana mejor no la pudo decir y si no has visto su post, pues qué esperas? ¡¡¡Está BRUTAL!!!
La libertad es un derecho y es lo que nos hace vivir en armonía y paz, sin embargo, la libertad siempre viene de la mano con guerras y sufrimiento, al menos así lo hemos visto y vivido a lo largo de la historia de la humanidad…
La ética por sí misma nos lleva al deber ser, al respeto por la integridad propia y del otro, es un valor que cuando se convierte en conducta, garantiza el bienestar individual y colectivo.
Hoy les traigo una canción que siempre cargo en mis playlists, una canción que cada vez que la escucho siento esa libertad, porque de algún modo me libera de lo negativo. La canción es de la agrupación Foster The People (El Pueblo Foster), una de las mejores bandas norteamericanas de indie rock que existe.
Are You What You Want To Be? O Eres Lo Que Quieres Ser? en español, es una canción que nos habla de libertad, de la lucha de los pueblos contra sus opresores, de la búsqueda de la identidad propia y del lugar donde se crece; el vocalista de la banda, Mike Foster, la escribió en una de las giras de la banda por continente africano en el año 2012, es por ello que el ritmo afrobeat de la canción es lo que más resalta, además de estar fusionado perfectamente con el rock, haciéndola una canción difícil de dejar de escuchar.
Este es el 4to sencillo que pertenece al 2do álbum de estudio de la banda llamado Supermodel (Super Modelo) lanzado en el año 2014. Como dato interesante, esta canción fue tan exitosa que se agregó como banda sonora del videojuego FIFA 15.

Hey my dearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Beatle, thank you very much 💖, I appreciate very much that you have listened to this song that I like very much, it is to listen to it loud hahaha 😁. What I did this time was a little different, that's why you will hear a different sound in the guitar, I used the distortion of the amp (no pedals) and I lowered the volume of the guitar to have a sound between clean and a little distorted, that's why when I hit the strings hard the distortion is more noticeable. I added a little reverb and in some parts I muted the strings, trying to make the sound minimally imperceptible. Your ears listened very well 👍👂✔️, just because of the style of the song I didn't want to sound so loud, but I'll keep it in mind to improve the final product of videos where I do something similar!!!!
