If only trees grew a little faster! Or, if only we planted some trees 10 years ago! But yes, avo's are awesome! Especially on some sourdough toast.

I am reminded of a quote, and excuse for the non-verbatim wording and my own creative addition if you know about it, the old men plant dates knowing that their offspring will be able to harvest the dates and not them. Or something in that line haha.

Yep, taken from the Bible, "some will sow and others will reap"

Isn't that also the perfect metaphor for charity work? You will not necessarily reap the rewards, others will. But that is the point.

Ezactly right and no one will reap if no sowing was done. So the most important part is to prepare the soil (soul) and then to plant the best non contaminated, all weather seeds.

Exactly right. And both those, sowing, and prepping the soil (soul) seem to be two things people totally disregard. There is this general idea that shops have a perpetual and unlimited stock always ready for us. And this mentality has spilled over to the general mentality. People don't sow anymore and rarely spare a moment to work on bettering the soil (soul).

Indeed and we have also encountered many situations of brackish soil. More than I can remember.
If the foundation is not solid then ............

Oh, yes that ellipses says it all. Foundation is everything, and since it is underground modern people do not care much because everything today is about the facade and outside and appearances.

Correct and instead all of that is built on the foundation of insecurity and other hidden guilts.
Hidden truths I might say.

Indeed, and all that combines to create the toxic mixtures that pervade our societies. As insecurities and hidden truths lead to the various "fights" we see. My dad always says: "the fights are so fierce because the stakes are so low."

Lawlessness sprouts from greed my friend. Everyone is chasing money and will do anything to get it.
Look at the condition of our country and one can only weep.
Evil works lead to insecurity in fear of arrests and killing is the name of the cover ups.
Your dad is right and in this case hidden truths trips many up when the truths are revealed.

It seems like greed is growing in abundance and not slowing down. The more we try to fight this, the fiercer the resistance. I hope that we can stave off this decay into lawlessness and a-morality.
