Demolition time!

One of the things I love about summer is to be able to wake up and take a walk outside with my pijamas. There's nothing like walking in the forest or going to the garden right after getting out of bed and feeling the perfect morning temperature with it's perfect colors.

It's like I was still dreaming and in bed because of how gentle everything feels. This lasts until I get hungry and once I eat I'm back down to Earth, but oh well, can't always be in the cozy snug dream.

Speaking of down to Earth, today was demolition time, and what a fun time it was. I've started taking down the plastic part of the first shelter I built because it serves no purpose right now and also I want its plastic for the greenhouse.

In case you didn't get to see this build or don't remember it:

There were some good times spent there, a lot of nice memories filled with naive hope for the future. Those times when I didn't know my limitations and thought I could do anything, that I could change the world with my bare hands. I still go back to feeling that strength every now and then, but I've also learned that things don't happen overnight so I'm not so anxious.

It was really luminous space back then, where you could feel sheltered but also fully receive the daylight. Unfortunately it was covered in leaves as the autumn kicked in and lost that quality.

Now it was in total decay and I had already removed many plastics for other purposes so it just had to go down.

It will be nice to have this gone because more light will enter that area and it will be able to go green again. Probably I'll also turn it into a garden spot hehe. I don't imagine anything better you can do when you get a clear space.

While I hammered the branches away with the axe I was really enjoying myself and I thought how funny it was that building things requires you to put a lot of will and determination into it but destroying them is just pure Bliss. What the fuck man? Is there something wrong with me or is this just human Nature?

As you can see, there's plenty of plastic up there for the grabbing, though it will take some cleaning as it's covered in decomposing leaves.

Well, that's as far as I got with the pictures as afterwards I entered the flow state and forgot all about the phone. For the time being, let me share with you a little of the progress of the greenhouse.

Got a nice magical lighting there ✨

As I've explained before, I would prefer to build without nails or screws so this has been a nice practice at lashing posts together.

The posts have been cut to be assembled previously.

I hope the greenhouse is ready soon as I want to do an experiment of keeping it warm with compost during the winter. Apparently it's possible but you need to have a lot of green feed for it so I've already begin storing grass. Is this works, then vegan off-grid living in cold areas might just be solved as you could even heat up houses with this. We'll see what happens.

Good night, thanks for stopping by 🤸

We are ( more or less ), secretly, all destroyers, starting when we're babies/ toddlers.

Guess it's in our nature then. I'm gonna have to find something to fuck up on a daily basis lol

I have read that compost is naturally warm up to 30 ° C hot. Then I read it can keep the greenhouse warm all night, especially if one turn it regularly to add oxygen, plus wood mulch can be used as a way to add warmth.

Yeah that's the idea, there's even more sophisticated ways with siphons or using the methane as gas but I suppose that's for a far away future
