Hoy recordamos a Odoarco*, nuestro primer gran éxito de manipulación. Nos gusta llamarnos los ejecutores, a pesar de habernos dado muchos nombre y habernos confundido con organizaciones muy distintas, por más que se nos parezca en algunos rasgos. Para beneficio de los que no conocen nuestra historia, les relataré nuestros inicios en la Roma imperial, que ya mostraba indicios de debilidad. El visionario Constantino nos reunió y financio suficientemente para fomentar la caída desde dentro con la implementación de la religión cristiana mientras él se mudaba al oriente donde la cultura (griega) le resultaba más de sus refinados gustos.
Nuestro circulo intimo nunca llegó a más de 15, comenzamos siendo 9, reclutados la mayoría entre judíos, algunos de los grupos cristianos en aquella época muy dispares entre si, lo que a posterior ocasiono notables enfrentamiento entre ellos y en no pocos casos derivaron en guerras.

Por nuestra parte tratamos de dirigir los pasos de la humanidad a mejores condiciones, que los vaívenes provocados por los caprichos imperiales y la verdad fueron muchos y lamentables, los errores cometidos. Por ejemplo el cristianismo nos sorprendió a todos. Nunca pensamos que alcanzara las dimensiones que tiene y menos aun que unos ignorantes y fanáticos alcanzaran tal poder y llegaran hacer tales desaguisados, desde quemar la biblioteca de Alejandría, hasta instaurar La Santa Inquisición y asesinar cientos de miles de personas con las mentes más adelantadas.
Todos esos desastres históricos se nos pueden achacar a nuestra intervención, pero hemos tenido algunos logros y ciertamente nos sentimos orgullosos del renacentismo, por más que nos tardaramos demasiado tiempo en instaurarlo.

Hoy tenemos la fortuna de no correr ningún peligro y gracias a las modernas tecnologías nos podemos reunir a diario; compartir proyectos, planes y resultados de nuestros manejos. Es cierto que muchos sospechan nuestra existencia y nos temen, pero por suerte la gran mayoría prefiere no pensar y se lo toma a cuentos con poco sentido, a pesar de una realidad que los golpea a diario y no adivinan las fuerzas involucradas en el desarrollo social y económico, mientras comen y duermen ignorantes de la cotidiana lucha entre una sociedad mas libre y el retorno al feudalismo.
El juego se desarrolla en todos los países grandes y pequeños, los tableros de manipulación involucran todas las actividades humanas; el comercio y la cultura, los ámbitos donde la lucha es mas cruenta. No se ven bombardeos o muertos, pero los guerreros se enfrentan a la ruina económica o el descrédito profesional. Los más valerosos han caído no pocas veces humillados y difamados, otros les toca vivir encerrados y la mayoría, como todos nosotros en total anonimato, en espera del triunfo y la implementación de la verdadera sociedad humana.

Aun no tenemos la seguridad de poder implementar nuestro proyecto en este siglo, las fuerzas en contra y la multitud de intereses personales, grupales y nacionales crean una incertidumbre realmente difícil de conjurar. El egoísmo y un sin numero de innobles cualidades impresas en los humanos las estamos viendo crecer a vertiginosa velocidad impulsadas por un exacerbado deseo de ganancias a costa de lo que sea, no importan los valores, ni la supervivencia.
Ganar, ganar y ganar. Destruir al competidor y ser el único. No hay reglas de juego. Medir las consecuencias parece despropósito. Los que no juegan, disfrutar, gozar y no pensar.

Locales como este fueron durante siglos nuestros lugares de encuentro y a veces de reunión, hoy los consideramos templos y sentimos profunda veneración y singular cariño. Gracias al comercio de libros se sembraron las ideas y se cultivaron las mentes mas nobles del planeta. Vemos con aprobación los libros digitales, incluso los audiolibros que son herramientas de difusión y con suerte se sabrán abrir camino en la vorágine de distracciones, entretenimientos y desinformación.
Al final la decisión es personal, ser o no ser... humano, consciente, digno.

It is true that many suspect our existence and fear us, but luckily the vast majority prefer not to think and take it to tales with little sense despite a reality that hits them daily and they do not guess the forces involved in social development and economic, while they eat and sleep ignorant of the daily struggle between a freer society and the return to feudalism.
The game takes place in all large and small countries, the manipulation boards involve all human activities and commerce and culture, the areas where the fight is most bloody. No bombings or deaths are seen, but the warriors face financial ruin or professional discredit. The most courageous have fallen not infrequently humiliated and defamed, others have to live locked up and the majority like all of us in total anonymity awaiting the triumph and the implementation of the true human society.

We still do not have the security of being able to implement our project in this century, the forces against it and the multitude of personal, group and national interests create an uncertainty that is really difficult to avoid. Selfishness and a number of ignoble qualities impressed on humans we are seeing them grow at dizzying speed driven by an exacerbated desire for profit at the cost of whatever, values ​​do not matter, nor survival.
