Flay dress for kids: practice day 2

Hello hivians

It's yet another beautiful and bright morning, how are we doing?

Practice make perfection they say, I'm trying to make mine gradually here by being consistent with my work. So welcome to today's episode of kids dresses practical.

This particular fabric's quantity is enough for a flay gown and more, so why not make pant with the remains? You can not go wrong with pants for kids.

This here is the back and front bodice with it's facing.

This is the sleeve. It's a puff sleeve and the reason for the look. I'll just weave and insert elastic band into the band and pleat the sleeve cap into the armholes.

This is the flay itself. Since it's an Ankara fabric putting interface into the flay will only make it more heavy on the kid so I'll exempt that here.

Like I said earlier I decided to make pant with the remaining fabric and here is the pant pattern. It's cut together with the band hence no separate band to it.

The back bodice to the facing sewn here

And the dress is almost ready here. No sleeve or zipper yet.

I don't have the picture of me weaving or putting elastic band to the sleeve or zipper either (pardon me) buh let's skip to the final stage.

THE VOILA STAGE 🤗😍

Hello @feesbamz! Welcome to the NeedleWorkMonday Community! I am so glad @monica-ene introduced you to this platform :)

This is such a beautiful ensemble! I love the fabric and the shine it has. Very skillful work.

Every week needleworkers from around the globe get together to share our work, patterns, tips, ideas and shortcuts as we support one another. Our goal is to inspire the Hive blockchain to give crafting a try.

On Monday’s we use the #needleworkmonday tag and on all other days we use the #needlework tag without the word Monday attached. We share and post our work directly from the Community page.

We encourage our members to share about their needlework life with us. We love hearing stories and what types of things inspired your projects. We challenge you to put some feeling and emotion into your publications and help us get to know the needler behind the fabric.

Feel free to share photos of your work but it’s optional if you choose to share the steps with us (we do require you share the step process in at least one of your posts for validation purposes). If you just want to needle and share about that time we’d love to hear about it. 😊

For more information about what we do and for our posting guidelines please visit our FAQs.
