To say I made this beautiful cake within 24 hours for a friend on her birthday would have been a fairytale, From getting the ingredients, to preparing the batter, to baking and lastly to covering it(designing) was miraculous done all within 24 hours ( Let me take you through the steps)

I agreed to bake for a friend's birthday a month before her birthday little did I know it'll be an hectic week for me🤦. It was the final test week at school( if anyone can relate it's the busiest week of all before exam) buh what could I do? I already promised coupled with the fact that she's a friend... I'd love to continue the story behind the cake buh today's montive is to share the knowledge behind the cake.

Sit tight and I hope it'll be helpful to those that it interests.

Baking a cake requires the perfect measurements to get the perfect taste and fluffiness

Ingredients and measurements used
Butter 500g
Sugar 250g (I like my pastries not too sugary)
10 large Eggs
5 tablespoons of water
Flour 500g
Three teaspoons of Baking powder
A teaspoon of baking soda
Flavours:
Butterscotch And Milk zest

I'm Sorry 🥺 was too occupied to take detailed pictures, my apologies.

As a student I did not have electrical tools so I have to manually do the procedures.
I started by mixing my butter and sugar in a bowl till it's creamy (can be done for few minutes in a mixer) then set aside.

In another bowl I broke the ten eggs inside and added five tablespoons of water to it then I started mixing for few minutes and set aside (this process is not necessary when using a mixer)

The next step is to seive and mix the dry ingredients (Flour, baking powder and baking soda)

The above picture contains the first three steps outcome.

It's time for mixing the three steps together to make a cake batter.

In a larger bowl pour the eggs mixture into the butter and sugar mixture (in bits) followed by the flour mixture (dry ingredients) in bits also. The trick is to start with eggs mixture and end with the flour mixture. I poured three times interchangeably for this particular cake.

You should have something like this after. Not too runny or thick

I later decided to make a chocolate cake batter also (Recipe and processes for another day)

The final step before baking is to pour (half of the pan size) of batter into a baking pan (already greesed with butter).

I use a locally made oven for my bakings, Preheat your oven before putting your cake to bake (few minutes)... Let's bake

Check at intervals to avoid it getting burnt. Insert a skewer in the middle to check if it's done (comes out clean if it's done and smeared with batter if it's not)... Cake is ready
