Diastasis Recti and Mommy Pouch

avatar

Diastasis recti is responsible for most mommy pouches and mommy's pouch is a real struggle. You see, what changes immediately after putting to bed is the weight that is off you. Your belly still looks as big as ever. In my case I could feel the vacuum when I press my tommy with my hand what use to be baby's space.

The belly binder helped a great deal in bringing down my big belly. Within days my tommy came down and I had saggy tommy skin which tighten up within weeks.

My tommy didn't get as flat as it use to be. There is this huge separation and dept around my belly button area and I don't like it. As I began looking for solution that was when I learned about diastasis recti.

According to fitness experts, diastaisis recti is simply a separation between the muscles of your tommy. Its normal and natural for these muscles to separate and give room for developing baby but some of them take time to return back to original shape while others don't if not toned to get back to shape.

Interesting thing is, anybody can have this muscle separation. Daddies have or can have it too. Anybody of any age can have it.

I wished there were other things to do to correct this other than exercises. Most write ups point to exercises that I'm finding hard to following due to the herculean nature of my lifestyle presently.

It would help a lot if there was food or cream that can be used to correct diastasis recti. I'm not sure there is. However,if you know any please share with me!

And if you want to start getting rid of mommy's pouch you might as well look up exercises to get rid of diastasis recti.

Great. I'll share a post of how I have been working on mine shortly. I'm 8months postpartum.

My tummy is almost as flat as it use to be only when i have not eaten and i had just emptied my bowl. As soon as I eat no matter how little, the bulge just shoot out. It can only be diastasis recti

Oh!! Now I know why my bulged out tommy has refused to go back. Even with Tommy trimmer, mine has refused to return back to the original shape after giving birth. I will have to try out the exercise.
@faithann , thank you so much for sharing this info.
