Brown sugar or palm sugar are sweeteners other than cane sugar. The color of brown sugar or palm sugar is brown. Palm sugar and brown sugar are different. But almost the same in terms of being used as ingredient for making a food/drink.

Gula merah ataupun gula aren adalah pemanis selain gula tebu. Warna dari gula merah ataupun gula aren adalah cokelat. Gula aren dan gula merah berbeda. Tapi hampir sama dalam hal digunakan sebagai bahan pembuatan suatu makanan/minuman.

Well, below I share the recipe Brown/Palm Sugar Coconut Milk Pudding, you can use brown sugar or use palm sugar.

Nah, di bawah ini aku share resep Pudding Santan Gula Merah/Aren, kalian bisa menggunakan gula merah atau menggunakan gula aren.

Ingredients:
• 1 sachet of agar-agar powder (7 grams)
• About 200 grams of brown/palm sugar (in my opinion (from my result) 200 grams is just right (the sweetness), reduce if you don't like sweet so much)
• About 500 ml of coconut milk
• About 300 ml of water
• 2 pandan leaves
Bahan-bahan:
• 1 saset tepung agar-agar (7 gram)
• Sekitar 200 gr gula merah/aren (menurutku (dari hasilku) 200 gram pas (manisnya), kurangi jika kalian tidak begitu suka manis)
• Sekitar 500 ml santan
• Sekitar 300 ml air
• 2 lembar daun pandan


How to make:

Cara membuat:

• Add brown/palm sugar, about 300 ml of water, and 2 pandan leaves to a stewpan.

Masukkan gula merah/aren, sekitar 300 ml air, dan 2 lembar daun pandan ke sebuah panci rebus.

• Heat on fire and stir (no need to keep stirring).

Panaskan di api dan aduk (tidak usah terus menerus diaduk).

• Strain so that only the brown/palm sugar solution remains.

Saring sehingga hanya menyisakan larutan gula merah/aren.

• Add 1 sachet of agar-agar powder and about 500 ml of coconut milk to stewpan.

Masukkan 1 saset tepung agar-agar dan sekitar 500 ml santan ke panci rebus.

• Add brown/palm sugar solution.

Tambahkan larutan gula merah/aren.

• Bring to a boil and stir.

Didihkan dan aduk.

• Turn off the heat when the solution boils. Stir to remove foam. Leave for a few moments.

Matikan api saat larutan sudah mendidih. Aduk supaya menghilangkan buih-buih. Diamkan selama beberapa saat.

• Put in the container/s. Leave for a few moments. Put in the refrigerator.

Masukkan ke wadah. Diamkan selama beberapa saat. Masukkan ke kulkas.

Pudding Santan Gula Merah/Aren sudah jadi saat sudah mengeras.
