Macro photographs: Gastropod Shell

avatar

Greetings from @fahad3728

Hope yo all well and good. By the Grace of God I'm also fine. I'm back today with some macro shots of a gastropod shell. It was lodged in a Eucalyptus tree when I discovered it. I chose to photograph it because of its unique texture. I photographed it from several perspectives in order to capture its beauty. I was able to capture some excellent images of it. Now I'm going to show you these photos, but first let me give you some background information.

Information about Gastropod Shell

The gastropod shell is part of the body of a gastropod or snail, a kind of mollusc. The shell is an exoskeleton, which protects from predators, mechanical damage, and dehydration, but also serves for muscle attachment and calcium storage.
