Como todavía estoy de vacaciones, a veces por las tardes, voy al parque con mi mamá y casi siempre encontrábamos a un señor mayor que jugaba ajedrez, al igual que yo pero, como traía mí tablero de ajedrez no le decía para jugar con él, y lo hacía en otra mesa con mi mamá.

A veces me daba tristeza verlo sentado solo, esperando que llegara alguien a jugar con él, y cuando ya se empezaba a poner oscuro, recogía sus cosas y se iba, pero a mí me daba pena preguntarle si podía jugar conmigo.

Como solo venía ciertos días, no le preguntaba nada, pero el miércoles lo vi y mi mamá me animó para que jugara, pero le dije a ella que preguntara si podía jugar. Estaba con su hija, quien dijo que sí, pero primero él me preguntó cuántos años tenía yo.

Estaba jugando solo, y cuando vi que empezó a ordenar las piezas para iniciar, me senté para una partida, mientras mi mamá se fue a las máquinas donde entrenamos por las tardes, pero me veía desde ahí.

Empecé yo porque tenía las blancas, fue un juego muy difícil, porque siempre que movía una pieza, me amenazaba esa pieza, y aunque yo le mate primero a la reina igual mente me ganó.

Cuando terminó, se acercó para ver la partida y aprovechó para tomarme las fotos que salen en este post. Ya estábamos terminando también, y fue algo divertido jugar con alguien que no fuera mi mamá.

Justo antes, también se había acercado un muchacho y le pidió poder jugar la siguiente partida, así que cuando me hizo jaque mate, yo me levanté y le di la silla para que jugara también.

No sé si cuando lo vuelva a ver le diré para jugar, pero fue una experiencia que me gustó.

Just before that, a boy had also approached him and asked if he could play the next game, so when he checkmated me, I got up and gave him my chair so he could play too.

I don't know if I'll ask him to play again when I see him next, but it was an experience I enjoyed.
