Is it necessary to learn about blockchain at a university?

Currently, there are many courses online and in academies that teach you about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, and although the knowledge is very good they do not teach you the complete things or ask you more money to learn more and more and advance, they are also beginning to teach in universities or schools premiums on blockchain and cryptocurrencies as something indispensable for the future and the development of the digital future.

But, although the intention is good when they try to teach what the economy and society will be based on in a few years, it seems to be something totally stupid and even illogical that people want to charge for knowledge free and accessible to all. For example in Venezuela recently came out the news that one of the most important universities in the country, the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, has made public the integration of the blockchain and crypto assets subject from the period October 2021-February 2022.

And as I said, although it is something incredible that blockchain technology is being integrated and adopted to an even greater degree, it is something totally stupid the price of this semester, which currently costs around $1600 and for a person who earns a monthly salary of $3, that amount is astronomical and impossible.
