Some two months ago, I made a light portrait of Heath Ledger as the Joker. It didn't quite get the attention I'd intended for it though but I still loved the sketch. Yesterday, I shared a portrait of Jack Nicholson as the Joker from the 1989 Batman movie with a couple of friends and as an aftereffect, I felt like sharing this now. One thing I love, really love about Heath is the fact that he embodied uniquely the person of "The Joker".

Some eight months back, I made my first portrait of Heath Ledger and it was coloured, an impression where I substituted the paper for the background white powder on his face.

I made the sketch with a Fei Yan brand pencil I got around the time I made the sketch. The pencil to many extent lacks depth but is very good for background shading and it has a nice texture so I figured I'll only use it for very light sketches.
