Hello, hivers. Due to a variety of factors, I have yet to complete Part 2 of my journey in Taipei, Taiwan. So this is the final part.

It had been raining hard and undeniably tiring since we arrived in Taipei around the afternoon, and we hadn't gotten a good night's sleep or rest after settling into the hostel. We returned home immediately after purchasing souvenirs and groceries at the mall. We took the detour on our way home to catch the train, and it took us 30 minutes to find our way to the correct train.

We began to feel ill, and Alyyssa developed an allergic reaction. I was thinking about one important item that we should always have in our bag, and that is medicines. I have headache medications but not allergy medications, so my friend became ill. We switch bed assignments to make it easier for her to sleep. We tried to get a good night's sleep in preparation for the next activity.

We had breakfast at our hotel, but we also found a place where we could get some of our favorite bread.

That's when I realized Taiwan was surrounded by milk tea shops. Milk tea shops have sprouted up on every street corner.

We went to the pharmacy first to get medicine before heading to our little tour.
And we arrive at the location where we had these noodles, the name of which I have forgotten, but I couldn't forget how good they tasted. We only went to the museum for at least an hour or so till the rain stopped. It's been raining and I've developed a blister, which isn't ideal for a tour, but our time is limited so we have to proceed.

We returned to our hotel after the museum tour to take a nap and grab a quick bite. We have plans for the evening, and that is when we will visit TAIPEI 101.

🌸 Taipei 101 🌸

Taipei 101 was the tallest building until 2010 when it was surpassed by the Burj Khalifa. When we enter the building, we must register to get a pass or ticket.
We were reminded that people who are claustrophobic or afraid of heights are not permitted to ride and ascend to the highest floor.

I was hesitant because I was concerned about how it would turn out. However, my friend remained by my side and held my hand as I entered the elevator. I overcame my fear and we made it to the top.

Knowing I was able to make it with the support of my friend gave me such a sense of accomplishment. We went into the other rooms and saw several historical relics, some of which we were able to photograph.
It was great to be able to go up to the top of the building and meet other people, as well as take photos of other tourists and vice versa.

🌸 Raohe Night Market 🌸

Every time we went on a trip, Alyyssa looked forward to going to the Market. She had already planned ahead of time and marked this location as one of the places we needed to visit. We will not be deterred from exploring Raohe Market because of the rain. We are greeted by a large crowd, and I am amazed at how much fun everyone is having although it is raining.

We went to Shifen Old Street the next day. I've already blogged about it, and I have a few photos to show you.

It had been a long and tiring journey, and while we still want to see the sights, our bodies are no longer capable of doing so. We spent the day in bed, getting ready to fly back to Cebu the next day.
