Let's keep on rolling with that Sushi bake and delish Tacos by Chef Kristel

You probably see some content about this food truck being featured by some of my friends on @hivecebubloggers but as an individual, I have my takeaways and own observation during the food tasting.

To start with I am not a fan of Sushi or Japanese food for some reason but I have a little background about Mexican food since during my college days we had that discussion on Banquet 101. They have all kinds of spices and are part of their culture, just like us. Nowadays it's very rare to invite people who don't have any background in food tasting yet it is a great honor to be included with this event.

At first, I was hesitant, again not a fan of sushi but when they said it was baked sushi I was like awe interesting (the innocence in me).
I said there's no harm in trying and I will do my best to give it a fair judgment.

Before we dig in, we had a little discussion about the overview of how she come up with the idea of putting money and effort into this business during the pandemic.
After that, I took some photos of the food so I can upload them on my blog.

Here are the dishes we tried that night and my judgment;

Sumptous Sushi Bake & Rice balls

Sushi Bake California Maki with Nori

It looks so good and smells good. When I scoop the California Maki it gives me an exciting feeling.
I've tried it with Nori and without Nori and it tastes really good. The size that was served to us is large and that can be shared with 3-5 people I must say. The food texture is soothing in my mouth, I chomp it slowly so I can distinguish the taste and the flavor and I was not disappointed at all and if I can rate the food from 1-5 I will rate it 5. I was amazed how I'd love how it tastes as mentioned above I am not a fan of sushi.

Onigiri Rice Balls

They serve 6 pieces and two of each flavor consist of;

- Tuna Mayo Rice Triangle
- Crabmeat cucumber Rice triangle
- Spicy Spam Rice Triangle

I've tried the Tuna Mayo and the Spicy Spam but unfortunately, I haven't tried the Crabmeat cucumber rice because of my allergy but as per my friends it tastes good and I felt sad not trying it but if you are into crabmeat this is good for you. Going back with the two flavors, I like the texture and the after taste and the combination of spicy flavor to it and made me want more but I wanted everyone to taste it so they can have their judgment.

Let's go Mexican

Chicken Bowl

When I look at the serving it is pretty big and can be shared by two people. I asked if it's a normal size and Chef Kristel said it is.

I like how it is presented and am pretty much excited to taste it. Before tasting the Chicken strip with rice I did try the chips as well and it's a good combination. The taste is really good and it has an after taste wherein you can feel the spices mixed with this dish.

Quinoa Bowl;

This is best for vegetarian people. I only get a small scoop though I want to get more I want @asasiklause to enjoy it best as he is a Vegan and he can't get to taste other tacos.

Carne Asado Taco

The overall outcome and presentation are great and unique. It looks like a shell and they put all the ingredients inside. It is the right amount of flavors and mixed with corn the taste compliments each other and it was just fabulous I must say.

Taco Sampler;

It has 5 flavors, yes, you heard it right. It consists of the chicken cubes slice, pork cubes slice, shrimp, quinoa, and beef cube slice. I've only tried 4 flavors and again no shrimp for me but my friends tried it and they like it. The flavors complement the ingredients included in it and the lemon squeeze just makes it more mouth-watering.

All in all, If I would rate my experience with the food itself it would be 4.5 stars, why not 5? Maybe you're wondering why only 4.5, well the fact that I wasn't able to taste other flavors since I am allergic to it and can't tell how it would taste made my decision to rate it as 4.5.
Food presentation-wise is above and beyond.

Taste-wise is good for an Asian palette and the overall experience including the food, the presentation, and how it was explained by Chef Kristel is great. I would recommend this to all my friends and if you will ask me what was my favorite of all the dishes that were prepared that night I would say it was the California Maki and I did order it the next few days and shared it with my friends.
