FIN CAFE X BAR IN GUIUAN
Hello hivers, it's been a while and I have some blogs that I haven't been posting since I've been so busy with work. So, this has been in my draft folder for over 3 weeks. lol
As I indicated in my previous blog, I went to see my friend Mhei. I offered to buy her coffee after she served a delicious snack. Before we leave she needs to get ready to send her children to her mother's house. After all is set we are ready to go and we chose to walk instead of riding her motorcycle after all we want to enjoy the nice weather. While walking from her house, we saw some familiar faces, including one of our high school instructors and classmates; unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to snap a photo with them.
I've been eager to check out this coffee shop, which is the FIN CAFE X BAR, ever since I returned home. We had planned to have coffee with one of my dearest friends the last time I was in our province, but it was unfortunately closed. Since it's open I'm eager to taste their coffee because some of my friends said it was good and they highly recommended it. When we arrive at the coffee shop, it doesn't look to be that crowded, so I'm relieved we won't have to compete and wait in line. They have a variety of coffee flavors and frappes, but I was astonished to find a Spanish Coffee with Cinnamon, which is the coffee I usually buy at Coffee Bay in Cebu.
Mhei chose a caramel macchiato and when I went to order it, I was even taken aback by how inexpensive the two cups of coffee we purchased were—only 220 PHP or $3.95 USD. I was thinking that if I ordered it in Cebu, the price would only be for one cup of coffee. What I especially appreciate about this shop is that you may pay with a debit or credit card, as well as Gcash or PayMaya. Only a few restaurants, stores, and coffee shops accept cash, which I understand. We walked inside to choose a table for us because the serving time for our coffee is approximately 5-10 minutes and I don't like sitting on a high chair. This location is an expansion of another restaurant and is owned by the same family who owns the coffee shop. I crossed my fingers and hoped that the coffee we ordered tasted the same as what I ordered at Coffee Bay. I was relieved when I finally took a sip of the coffee because it was the same as my usual coffee. I'm delighted I was able to try this coffee shop after not being able to do so when I initially learned about this place.
After we finished our coffee, we went home, and I returned the next day to enjoy another cup of coffee.

It seems like a nice everyday cafe that you can pop in for a quick drink, nothing too fancy.
It's great to have a balance of different price levels and variety. Cinnamon added to coffee is the newest addition at my quick coffee stop Greggs, here in the UK.
I agree @millycf1976, nothing fancy but the coffee tastes good though it's not too pricey. I will always look forward to grabbing a coffee once I visited Guiuan again. ☺️
We visited a coffee shop in Guiuan before we went to Calicoan. Not sure if this was it but I think it's not because you enjoyed your orders. I remember the place being overpriced with not-so-good food. 😅
Hahaha, we have 3 coffee shops here in total located in the town proper. Maybe it's a different place but this one has an extension. This place has two coffee shops already. But they rename it from AC + to American Buffalo Wings the other place is La Tazza.
It's wonderful to have a mixture of nice tasting coffee and affordable price as well. I know it would become one of your fave spots and that caramel macchiato looks wonderful. I hope you have the chance to keep trying out wonderful coffee shops in the future.
