Zhukovo

When I explored the satellite map before going to Zhukovo, the village seemed to me residential. But, unfortunately, only summer residents come here. It was not possible to drive by car to the village – the road is broken in some places. Here, as in the Podvalye, you need to go down from a high hill to a low valley – the valley of the Samsonikha River, which flows into the Shardenga very close by. But it will be difficult to return. Even on foot, you need to catch your breath, making stops during the ascent.

There are only six houses in Zhukovo, of which only one is intact. All the others are ruin–like, though beautiful huts in the past.

The stream (the tongue does not turn to call it a river) of Samsonikha is so small that I immediately jumped over it and climbed the hill to assess the scale of its former beauty. I walked back across the bridge-pipe and went down to the river: the icy clear water murmurs, rolling over small pebbles. I took myself one of the most beautiful stone in memory of the village.

The most well-groomed house is the most comfortable. It's like a whole farmstead here, I already wanted to live in such a place. Zhukovo seemed to me the most cozy of all the places visited during this trip. Even when I was asking for directions in a shop in Verkhnyaya Shardenga, they told me that it was very beautiful there. Not deceived!
