Smartphone photography–2024. Part 1

When will the time come when I will start taking smartphone photography seriously? No matter how many serious shots I take on my smartphone, the footage doesn't go further than Stories on Instagram.

Many pictures are not suitable for printing at all, even in postcard format.

So what is it, taking photos on a mobile device?

For me, this is primarily a diary of life.

I can remember an event at any time.

Yes, you need to keep everything in your head, but it takes a long time to dig there, and then I took it out of my pocket, looked at the date and time, and everything becomes extremely clear.

Smartphone photography is also for me a kind of storage of guides to the past.

It looks like a mini version of a time machine.

With the help of some frame, I can connect to a state that I have experienced in the past.

But it's like a lite version. The full version can be viewed from the camera.

Also, the smartphone allows you to indulge.

There is no shutter resource on it, only memory can run out.

But there are some features in a smartphone that are not available in a large professional camera.

Macro, fast night shooting, ultra–wide angle, ultra-large depth of field - all this requires expensive lenses and a tripod.

And in this, the smartphone wins...but it does not reach the quality yet.

Sometimes, however, it is enough to publish on social networks what a smartphone gives out.

And there are photographers who make masterpieces on a smartphone!

A photo on a mobile device always goes with me in parallel with shooting on a DSLR.

There was a time when film photography was also running in parallel.

But digitalization is to blame for everything, which killed the film...or made it ultra expensive.

To be continued...
