Gray November routine

This was the last stage of the experiment to shoot immediately in jpeg without processing. I chose the genre of street photography. It is easier to shoot in cloudy weather in this genre, since you do not need to muffle overexposures or highlight harsh shadows.

In street photography, in principle, shadows do not need to be drawn out, and overexposures in some cases can be a creative technique.

This, by the way, is the next topic that I would like to work on.

I have already seen a huge number of overexposed photographs that have been published in the most elite photographic magazines, both in print and electronic.

But overexposure was once also a block for me.

My first teacher considered an overexposed sky for defect.

The second teacher removed some blocks from me.

More precisely, the first teacher drove into the frames, and the second, on the contrary, got rid me of them.

It's strange when you like cloudy weather, but you can't take it off.

But it turns out that you can shoot absolutely everything! No frames and borders!

And you can make mistakes, you even need to!

After all the experiments, I decided to return to the usual shooting format: raw with subsequent minimal correction.

And leave jpeg for reportage for the sake of efficiency.

These pictures are as simple and boring as possible. But depending on how you look.

If you look through the composition, you can see some lines, shapes, geometric elements.

Almost every photo has these elements.

If you didn't find anything at all, then the main thing is the plot, that is, what is happening in the photo.

By the way, some eminent photographers even set autofocus to automatic mode.

And his miss is sometimes the highlight of the shot.

In general, there is just a lot of things in photography and it is interesting to study it.

But first of all, you just need to shoot.

Amen.

Love this. Just wandering around seeing what I find is probably my favorite way to shoot.
