Today is my Blockchain Birthday! Celebrating 4 Years on Hive!

My oh my, how the time has gone. It seems like each year goes by quicker and quicker. It was late yesterday that I realized my 4th year anniversary on Hive was coming up. To be frank, I was so busy with coursework, that I'd almost forgotten about it. However, seeing the little cake graphic which said "53 moons" on Hiveblocks, reminded me in just in time.

I usually write a long screed about the year/years gone by, but with the last two posts being over a thousand word each, decided to make this a shorter one. Seems people don't like to read long blog posts and I want to spare them yet another one on this very special day.

After over 4000 posts (which includes comments), I'm on the cusp of reaching level 68, and with any luck, hope to hit level 70 over the next year. I'm continuing to grow my stake and check out some of the new front-ends which provide a welcome taste of variety here on Hive.

If you'd told me in 2017 that by 2021, our little slice of the blockchain would multiply into numerous tribes, I'd have shaken my head and smiled. But the truth is that there are many places to call home today, with more being added all the time. LeoFinance is a place where I spend a lot of time when I'm not on Hive. LeoMarketTalk, has become a daily hangout and a way to meet new people, while sharing and learning new things.

Now would be a great time for me to thank those that gave advice and supported me along the way. I've mentioned them in other anniversary posts, so don't want to repeat it again here. Suffice to say that Hive has reawakened my joy of blogging, and I'm proud to set off on the next chapter of my journey throughout the blockchain. Happy Blockchain Birthday to me indeed!

Thank you! The one good thing about being here for a bit, is you get to see the token pric go up and down, so you're not as focused on the swings like a new person might be.

The other thing is you see the value of putting skin in the game, early and posting day after day. I was shocked to learn that Task joined one month after me, and look at where he (and others) are now.

The last and most important thing is the wonderful people you meet along the way. There are things I've learned here that I could never have learned anywhere else. I'm so glad I joined! :)
