You buy them one by one. They are a bit too bulky to go inside your gloves, I put them in my jacket pockets and cup my gloved hands around them. Take my hands out to work, etc. then put them back in for warmth. They can take awhile to charge, so I got more and just plug them in when I go to bed. Wake up, and they're ready to go!
