Happy thanksgiving Everyone

Well I know thanksgiving is mainly celebrated in Canada and the united state, maybe some other states too I wonder why it is so tough, in my opinion, it is supposed to be a nationwide celebration because most times it can be hard to give thanks in all the struggles of life especially in my country Nigeria so we need to be reminded to give thanks.

Let’s for a moment imagine thanksgiving day was an annual celebration in my country Nigeria, it would be one hell of a day if a normal Nigerian party gives so much from the food, drinks, and dancing.. thanksgiving day would be double the celebration it is a good thing that we celebrate ours any day we chose to and not on a particular day annually.

So once again on behalf of my wonderful nation Nigerian I say...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

But As much I would like to be thankful this year, I am not saying I am not thankful but if I am honest this has been a really hard year for me and my family. There were a lot of tears and pain, trials and temptations even the greatest joy we received this year was rooted out from moments of severe pain.

I know most of us can relate

Then let’s even talk about the calls I received and messages I responded to all through the years even when I had my struggles I could see that people were dealing with the worst issues from depression, illness, anxiety, joblessness, poverty, and others and my countries economy isn’t even helping at all. Thinking back it has been a rough year for most than others and most would even say that God has departed from them but I disagree like I always say

God will never let us be in a hard situation if he knows we can’t come out from it stronger. there is always a way out.

I know times can be hard but I still maintain that we should all be thankful no matter what. you could see thanksgiving as a reminder for all the good and wonderful things that are yet to come and trust it would get better for everyone.

Whatever it is that may be a heavy burden in our heart, thanksgiving should be a day to be reminded that it would get better even when you have no idea why it is all happening but believe there is someone who understands and he is with us every step of the way because he is the light at the end of the tunnel weeping may endure now and for a while but joy, sweet joy is coming soon so we should join everyone and be thankful.

So even in all the struggles through the year I have decided to stay thankful no matter how hard it seems I remain thankful for the following things.

• A place to call home: it is a big blessing to go out and have a place to come back to, even when you have not even one cent left but having shelter over your head is every reason to be thankful. So I am thankful for a place to call home.

• Hive: in my country, there is a serious case of unemployment and without a job, one would have to be dependent on family or friends and it can be exhausting thankful for hive for the little cents and hive dollars I accumulate daily and the financial advice and small community of friends I have gained on the platform thank you hive.

• Strong friendship: some amazing friendship brings so many great opportunities and takes us through the hard times. let me specifically thank @readthisplease for the daily push to do more and the endless opportunities he keeps bringing to my plate. PRINCE @readthisplease thank you.

• Family: I am thankful for a faithful and understanding family who through a hard time didn’t judge or run away instead they stood by me and a lovely husband for ensuring to do what’s best for our family.

• Good health and safety: I know the countless accidents, robbery, and unfortunate health attacks that I have seen all year in the hospital and how a lot of people barely make it out alive but I am grateful I went into hospital and came out healthier and I go out and come in daily safely.

I am so grateful for life.

I could go on and on and on, listing out everything I am thankful for amidst the struggle in this year but I would stop here for now and continue my gratitude from my heart.
