Happy sunday

I haven't been to church in a while because my son sleeps so late these days and because of that, we end up waking up so late too. well, I should not be blaming my son.. it all me, and today I finally decided to go to church no matter what.

I had to set an alarm so I woke up on time and made it to the first service, It was beautiful...
So we had a guest speaker whose message was about a character in the Bible SHAMGAR

Sincerely my childhood was filled with so many bible stories that I was almost sure if anyone talk of any major character I should know the person but this time I was blank

Who is SHAMGAR?

The name alone got my attention that I was focused on what this speaker had to say and gave my son to my husband to hold while I listened.

So Shamgar was mentioned once in judges 3:31

After he was Shamgar the son of Anath, who killed six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad; and he also delivered Israel (Judges 3:31).

No wonder I never heard of him he was a farmer, almost a nobody till he pulled the big stunt with a massive impact..because his family were being threatened he got so angry and killed over 600 enemies using just an oxgoad

Well, an oxgoad is a farm tool used to direct the oxen as they move, according to my findings it is wooden with sharp edges. so sharmgar took this equipment and destroyed his enemies.

Reminds me of David and Goliath, how David used a sling and stone to kill Goliath .most of you know this already.

But the main reason I am sharing this is because of the life lesson I got from the sermon. The speaker highlighted three things that made Shamgar succeed and how it can help us too

Starting wherever you are
Use what you have
Do what you can

SHAMGAR wasn’t wealthy or popular, neither was he in authority or power but still he didn’t waste time to take action.. in other sense we shouldn’t wait for one special opportunity to take action in whatever we do.. or waiting for things to change before we make a move, we can start now just in whatever state we find ourself and scale

You may think you don't have enough to get started, look at Shamgar he used what he had he didn’t wait for a team to set him up or battle equipment from his people. Take me, for instance, I needed a laptop so bad so I can type my blog post easily that I kept procrastinating till I sad one day took my phone and made my first blog post. I am still using my phone and it is even more convenient even though I would eventually get a laptop. But the lesson there is I used what I had at the moment and made it work. So let's stop worrying about what we don't have yet and focus on what we have.

Do what you can hit me differently because there is a lot of things that can now be done after you have gone through the previous processes for me I choose to pray then stay focused and never give up if it to get an accountability partner I would but I must ensure I have checked all my list to see if I exhausted all my options.

Avoid discouragement and doubts instead think victoriously. So let's start where we are, use the gift or resources we have and ensure do whatever we can and see how victorious you would be at the end

You could tell I ensured my day, it was worth every second.
