☁ ☁ 🌧 Clouds and their things 🌧 ☁ ☁

Hello friends!

I remember as a child I used to go up to the third floor of my house which was under construction and I used to lie on my back and watch the clouds pass by, moved by the wind and I tried to see the different shapes they took. On one occasion I counted seven different shapes. Elephant, crocodiles, I loved when I saw dolphins and horses and thought how beautiful it would be to be able to walk on those "cotton wool flakes" but I also said, "no way" I can't walk on them because I would fall off. As I grew older, so did my curiosity and I began to wonder how heavy the clouds would be, would they be as light as they look, and so many other questions came to mind.

In time, when I had to explain to my children at school about clouds and their formation, I had to read and inform myself about it and I learned that these beautiful clouds were made up of "water" and/or ice crystals, It depends on their altitude with respect to the atmosphere. That is, when they are above the atmosphere (6 kilometres above the ground), they are normally made up of ice, whereas if they are at an altitude between 2 and 6 kilometres above the ground, they are normally made up of water particles or water vapour.

So if this is the case, why is it that every time we see clouds it doesn't rain?

This is because clouds are less dense than the air in the atmosphere, which keeps them floating. However, when the density of these water droplets increases, so does their weight, and they begin to fall, causing rain.

Taking this into account, I understood that these "cotton wool flakes" made of ice can weigh as much as 200,000 elephants! And a single white cloud, like the ones you can see any day, can weigh up to 5 tons, the same as 100 elephants put together!

Something I also learned was that clouds reflect the Earth's heat at night, keeping the ground warm, and that studying them is essential to understanding the planet's climate.
Let's keep our eyes on the clouds and we will get a lot of answers about what is happening on earth!

Thanks for visiting my blog!!

Thank you for your visit and support my dear friend @kohsamui99. Really the internet problem here is strong hehehe! I was very sad not to be able to participate and give my vote to the other participants in the last round of the contest (Congratulations for the 1rst place!!)
The Cloud of the horse, unfortunately, is not mine but I took it to exemplify the "shapes of the clouds" (the source is there). I thank you for your appreciation of the other pictures that were taken by me.
A big hug!
