Los niños necesitan tener actividades en las que aprendan o refuercen sus conocimientos, nuestros niños con Autismo no son la excepción. Pero, para ello debemos tener claros ciertos puntos: Uno de ellos es que deben ser actividades que sean de su agrado, es decir, con las que se sientan identificados y les proporcionen alegría y satisfacción porque éstas serán parte de las herramientas que los ayudarán a mejorar, en algunos casos y en otros a reforzar su comunicación, sus destrezas y capacidades.

Necesitamos recordar que para comenzar, tenemos que llamar a la paciencia y a la empatía para que en todo momento estén presentes, sentadas allí, a nuestro lado. Para comenzar, siempre es bueno hacerlo con juegos didácticos que de alguna forma se relacionen con la actividad que has planificado y sirva como abrebocas de una manera ligera. Para continuar y lograr tenerlos enfocados, puedes realizar ejercicios de atención (aquietan sus pensamientos y logran concentrarlos).

Children need to have activities in which they learn or reinforce their knowledge, our children with Autism are no exception. But, in order to do so, we must be clear about certain points: One of them is that they must be activities that they like, that is to say, with which they feel identified and provide them with joy and satisfaction because these will be part of the tools that will help them to improve, in some cases and in others to reinforce their communication, their skills and capacities.
We need to remember that to begin with, we need to call on patience and empathy to be present at all times, sitting there, by our side. To begin, it is always good to start with didactic games that somehow relate to the activity you have planned and serve as a light-hearted opener. To continue and keep them focused, you can do attention exercises (they quieten their thoughts and manage to concentrate them).

Otro elemento importante es la hora del día que tomes para realizar las actividades y dentro de ese horario, el tiempo que tomemos para ello. Con niños alistas con déficit de atención tenemos un máximo de 20 minutos para mantenerlos enfocados y con los niños dentro del espectro autista suele ser un poco más, porque regularmente toman más tiempo para comprender y adquirir ciertos conocimientos.

Cuando vayamos a ocuparlos debemos tener un catálogo amplio en el que les mostremos opciones de actividades para que no escojan siempre la misma. De esa forma trabajarán mejor.

Bueno, tomando en cuenta lo anteriormente dicho, les daré sugerencias de algunas actividades con las que los niños pueden divertirse mientras aprenden.

Actividades con cuentos /Story Telling Activities

Deben ser cuentos que llamen su atención, con colores llamativos y una trama sencilla.
Los libros pueden ser de diferentes materiales (hasta creados por ti). Con relieves y texturas diferentes en sus páginas, con ello, aprenderías a reconocer las texturas mediante en tacto.
Libros con variadas figuras, a manera de aprender los nombre de los diferentes objetos
y personajes.

They should be stories that attract their attention, with bright colours and a simple structure.
The books can be made of different materials (even created by you). With reliefs and different textures on their pages, so that they learn to recognise textures by touch.
Books with different figures, to learn the names of different objects and characters.

Podemos iniciar con palmadas. Iniciamos con 1 palmada y nos paramos dándole chance para que lo haga.
que emulen el sonido que emiten los animales, después de preguntarle: ¿Cómo hace el león, ...?
que imiten el caminar o el movimiento de algunos animales.
Rompecabezas

We can start with clapping. We start with 1 clap and we stand up and give them a chance to do it.

We can ask them to imitate the sounds that animals make, after asking them: How does the lion make, ...?

Let them imitate the walking or movement of some animals.

Puzzles

Juegos sensoriales con los que podremos utilizar diferentes textura, sabores y podríamos utilizar cualquier material con el que sepamos que nuestros niños disfrutarán.

Recordemos que todo lo que hagamos, a pesar de que la actividad se haya dado sin problemas, puede que no produzca frutos el mismo día. Así que lo que aplica es usar otra de las actividades que hemos preparado con el fin reforzar el conocimiento hasta que veamos que se ha cumplido el objetivo.

Sensory games with which we can use different textures, flavours and we could use any material that we know our children will enjoy.
Remember that whatever we do, even if the activity has gone smoothly, may not bear fruit the same day. So what applies is to use another of the activities we have prepared in order to reinforce the knowledge until we see that the objective has been met.
