Probando comida callejera en Parques del Río | Trying street food in Parques del Río

Llevabamos días con ganas de comernos algo realmente grasiento, aprovechando que estabamos en Parques del Río para hacerlo. Además de que sus precios son realmente una locura. Cuando llegamos a este parque lo que hicimos fué ver una multitud de puestos verdes de comida donde vendian practicamente lo mismo en todos, pero seguimos caminando para averiguar cual tenía mejor precio para nosotros.

We had been wanting to eat something really greasy for days, taking advantage of the fact that we were in Parques del Río to do so. Besides that their prices are really insane. When we got to this park, what we did was see a multitude of green food stalls where they sold practically the same in all of them, but we kept walking to find out which one had the best price for us.

Inicialmente llegamos al Parque en plan de pasear y conocer, siempre terminaba comiendo en casa antes de salir pero esta vez queriamos probar algo diferente. Habian hamburguesas, perros calientes, chuzos, trozos de carne gigantes con papas y una variedad en su menú.

Initially we arrived at the Park in a plan to walk and get to know, I always ended up eating at home before leaving but this time we wanted to try something different. They had hamburgers, hot dogs, chuzos, giant chunks of meat with potatoes and a variety on their menu.

Debo decir que no tienen un menú, ellos tienen en exhibición todos sus productos. Cuando se va acabando del stock lo que hacen es seguir preparando más y siguen llenando. Y si un cliente llega lo que hacen es calentar y entregar al cliente. Tuve una mala experiencia porque me agregaron miel en mi perro caliente y realmente esto no fué bueno para mi.

I must say that they do not have a menu, they have all their products on display. When the stock runs out, what they do is keep preparing more and keep filling. And if a customer arrives, what they do is warm up and deliver to the customer. I had a bad experience because they added honey to my hot dog and it really wasn't good for me.

Sin embargo, la comida no se puede perder. Así que me lo comí, pero no volvería a agregar miel sin duda alguna. Pensé en principio que era mostaza, creo que uno debe preguntar que lleva o ellos deben preguntar si deseamos con todas las salsas. La verdad es que definitivamente la miel no pega con perros calientes, aunque creo que en Colombia sí.

However, the food is not to be missed. So I ate it, but I would definitely not add honey again. I thought at first that it was mustard, I think one should ask what it takes or they should ask if we want with all the sauces. The truth is that honey definitely does not go with hot dogs, although I think it does in Colombia.

Hicimos nuestro pedido a la chica que esta parada en el puesto y ofrece, luego buscamos donde sentarnos porque no hay mesas solo sillas, así que debes adaptarte porque así se come en Parques del Río. Es una divertida experiencia si vas con amigos con ganas de comer comida chatarra y disfrutar de hermosa vista. La cuenta fueron 18 mil pesos colombianos lo que equivale aproximadamente a 4,54 USD.

We made our request to the girl who is standing at the stand and offers, then we look for where to sit because there are no tables, only chairs, so you must adapt because that is how you eat in Parques del Río. It is a fun experience if you go with friends wanting to eat junk food and enjoy the beautiful view. The account was 18 thousand Colombian pesos, which is equivalent to approximately 4.54 USD.

José pidió una hamburguesa para el, vaya de explosiva que estaba. La comida aquí es buena y economica. Me parece gracioso que colocan un huevo de codorniz en ambas cosas. Obviamente si quieres comer gourmet no es el sitio adecuado. Pero se pasa excelente. Esto fué todo por hoy, espero que les haya gustado. Nos leemos en un próximo post. Un abrazo

José ordered a hamburger for him, how explosive he was. The food here is good and cheap. I find it funny that they put a quail egg in both. Obviously if you want to eat gourmet it is not the right place. But it is excellent. This was all for today, I hope you liked it. We will read in a future post. A hug
