Comiendo carne y cochino asado en los llanos venezolanos | Eating meat and roast pig in the Venezuelan plains

Como tenía tiempo sin comer cochino asado y carne asada, esta fué la oportunidad perfecta para hacerlo. Mi querido amigo Luis me invitó a almorzar en un asadero muy bueno donde el ya había asistido antes y le pareció muy bueno como para llevarme y probarlo. La verdad es que no se equivocó, comimos todo lo que nos sirvieron y estaba delicioso, entonces, de camino hacia guasdualito, un poco antes de llegar, se encuentra el asadero Los Araucos.

Since I hadn't eaten roast pork and roast beef in a while, this was the perfect opportunity to do so. My dear friend Luis invited me to have lunch at a very good barbecue where he had already attended before and he thought it was too good to take me and try it. The truth is that he was not wrong, we ate everything that was served to us and it was delicious, so, on the way to Guasdualito, a little before arriving, there is the Los Araucos barbecue

Nuestra aventura comenzó en moto cuando tomamos el recorrido desde El Amparo hacia Guasdualito. Faltando un poco para llegar, tuvimos una falla y nos tocó buscar un taller pero cercano estaba uno de herrería, donde un señor amable nos hizo un amague con un perno para poder llegar a Guasdualito a comprar el respuesto y posteriormente ir a un taller de motos.

Our adventure began on a motorcycle when we took the route from El Amparo to Guasdualito. With a little while to go, we had a fault and we had to look for a workshop, but nearby was a blacksmith shop, where a kind man made us a feint with a bolt so we could get to Guasdualito to buy the spare part and then go to a motorcycle workshop.

Se logró solucionar el problema pero nos llevó unas cuantas horas todo este tema. Así que, al salir del taller de motos, nos fuimos directo al asadero "los Araucos" y estaba lleno de gente. La verdad es que la comida es deliciosa aquí que valió la pena esperar. Cuando por fin nos atendieron quedaba solo medio kilo de cochino y medio kilo de carne, esto fué justo para nosotros.

We managed to solve the problem but it took us a few hours this whole issue. So, when we left the motorcycle shop, we went straight to the "los Araucos" grill and it was full of people. The truth is that the food is delicious here that it was worth the wait. When they finally served us there was only half a kilo of pork and half a kilo of meat left, this was just right for us.

Mientras servían nuestra comida. Pedimos una cachapa con mantequilla y queso, una coca cola 1/2 litro para los dos y una cerveza para mí amigo Luis porque hacía calor y necesitaba una jajajaja. Cómo era tarde y fué mucha gente, ya no quedaba yuca. Quedaba solo ensalada de repollo y zanahoria con mayonesa. Luis y yo estaba listos para degustar nuestro enorme plato de carne de res y cochino asado.

While our food was served. We ordered a cachapa with butter and cheese, a 1/2 liter coke for the two of us and a beer for my friend Luis because it was hot and he needed one lol. How it was late and there were many people, there was no yucca left. There was only cabbage and carrot salad with mayonnaise left. Luis and I were ready to sample our huge plate of roast beef and pork.

Todo estaba exquisito, pasamos un rato agradable con buena música, cachapa en leña, cochino y carne asada y bebidas frías. La combinación perfecta. Tenía mucho tiempo sin comer de esto, que de alguna manera lo extrañaba y sentía que lo necesitaba. Nada mejor que estar en los llanos venezolanos y poder disfrutar de todas estas cosas, a pesar de que hace bastante calor.

Everything was exquisite, we had a pleasant time with good music, cachapa in firewood, pork and roast meat and cold drinks. The perfect combination. I hadn't eaten this for a long time, that somehow I missed it and felt that I needed it. Nothing better than being in the Venezuelan plains and being able to enjoy all these things, despite the fact that it is quite hot.

Me encantó el plato porque el cochino estaba asado como debía. Había muchísima gente porque normalmente los fines de semana la gente aprovecha a comer en familia este tipo de cosas incluyendo una sopa pero ya no quedaba cuando llegamos. Siempre que puedo vengo aquí a visitar a mi familia, hay que aprovechar cuando se puede porque se extraña cuando los tienes lejos.

I loved the dish because the pig was roasted as it should have been. There were a lot of people because normally on weekends people take the opportunity to eat this kind of thing as a family, including soup, but there was no more when we arrived. Whenever I can I come here to visit my family, you have to take advantage of it when you can because you miss them when they are far away.

Recuerdo que el señor que nos atendió se sorprendió con la cantidad que nos comimos los dos, fué gracioso. Señoras y señores, está fué mi recomendación del día, el asadero los Araucos, hay otros más por esta vía que son deliciosos también. ¡Imperdible! Si llegan temprano mucho mejor para que puedan disfrutar de todo el menú completo a tiempo. Esto fué todo por hoy. Espero que les haya gustado. Un abrazo

I remember that the Lord who answered us was surprised by the amount that we both ate, was funny. Ladies and gentlemen, it was my recommendation of the day, the grill Araucos, there are others more for this path that are delicious as well. Safety pin!
