Weekend Engagement Topics: WEEK 291. What I Hate About My Country
I must say that I've always fought from my position for a better country, but negative issues have arisen that bother me a lot and hurt me as a human being.
I want to address some of those things that cause me pain and that I abhor about the country where I live.

Social Indiscipline
For a long time, we were a country where public tranquility and social discipline were among the aspects that most pleased everyone who came to visit. However, lately, several of these elements have become very worrying.
For example, the large amount of garbage accumulating in our streets. This situation has several explanations, but the truth is that we have a very delicate situation that affects the environment, people's health, and spreads rats, insects, and other vectors that hinder the well-being of citizens.
Job and Economic Insecurity
Several problems affect society and are reflected in low wages, people's reluctance to work, inflation, and high prices that erode purchasing power, especially for those of us with fewer economic resources.

Youth Emigration
Many young people have left the country seeking a life project that seems foreign, impossible, or very difficult to achieve, resulting in family breakdown, children separated from their parents, and many other problems that will have negative consequences for the country in the medium and long term.

Manifest Inequality
Due to many of the problems mentioned above and others, a marked difference between social classes has emerged, exacerbating poverty for a segment of the population.
Many times students asked me why they should go to university if professors, engineers, doctors, scientists, and technicians are the lowest paid, and often we lack the arguments to acknowledge these truths.
