Como sabrán Venezuela se encuentra en el ojo del huracán y desde horas de la madrugada ha sido noticia tras noticia.
Yo me acosté anoche relativamente temprano por el agotamiento que tenía y en horas de la madrugada, justo cuando comenzó todo mi esposo me despertó para decirme "están bombardeando Caracas".
Es una locura ver estas imágenes recién despierto y con tan poco tiempo de sueño, y de ahí no pude dormir más, solo atenta a las noticias, a los vídeos que subía la gente en las redes y los en vivos por la plataforma de Tiktok.
A cada rato refrescando la página para saber que pasaba y siguiendo los comentarios de personas que tenían familiares en el centro del país.
La mitad de la familia de mi esposo está allá en Caracas y ante la preocupación y la falta de información de saber realmente dónde eran los ataques decidimos comunicarnos.
Por suerte todos estaban bien y ya solo restaba esperar unas horas a para que por fin supiéramos que ocurría.

As you know, Venezuela is in the eye of the storm, and since the early hours of the morning, it's been making headlines.
I went to bed relatively early last night because I was exhausted, and in the early hours of the morning, just as it all started, my husband woke me up to say, "They're bombing Caracas."
It's crazy to see these images right after waking up and with so little sleep, and from then on, I couldn't sleep anymore, just glued to the news, the videos people were uploading to social media, and the live streams on TikTok.
I kept refreshing the page to see what was happening and following the comments of people who had family in the center of the country.
Half of my husband's family is there in Caracas, and given the concern and the lack of information about where the attacks were really happening, we decided to get in touch.
Luckily everyone was fine and all that remained was to wait a few hours until we finally found out what was happening.
Me quedé dormida casi a las 5 de la mañana porque no podía con tanta angustia, incluso me enferme del estómago por los nervios.
Cuando desperté a las 9 fue que ví la noticia de que habían capturado al presidente. Una real locura.
En ese momento comenzó mi angustia al no saber que haríamos los siguientes días con la comida, nosotros en casa aún estamos apretados financieramente y no teníamos nada en la nevera.
Por suerte tenía un dinero que era de mi hijo para invertir en un negocio que venimos planeando y bueno tocó usar esos fondos para poder comprar algo de comida.
El dinero en Hive no podía sacarlo por problemas con la agencia de cambios, así que esa era nuestra única opción.
I fell asleep around 5 a.m. because I couldn't handle so much anxiety; I even got a stomachache from the stress.
When I woke up at 9 a.m., I saw the news that the president had been captured. It was insane.
That's when my anxiety began, not knowing what we would do about food in the coming days. We're still struggling financially at home, and we had nothing in the fridge.
Luckily, I had some money that belonged to my son to invest in a business we've been planning, and we had to use those funds to buy some food.
I couldn't withdraw the money from my Hive account because of problems with the exchange bureau, so that was our only option.
Algo que me tenía preocupada era no saber si las tiendas estarían abiertas, pues en esta clase de situaciones lo más común es que no abran. Por suerte encontré dos de ellas abiertas dónde podía comprar lo que había planeado con los 20$ que había logrado cambiar.
No fue mucho pero al menos con eso lograríamos tener 3 días de comida seguro. Y una vez hice las compras volví a casa.
Something that worried me was not knowing if the stores would be open, since in these kinds of situations they usually aren't. Luckily, I found two open stores where I could buy what I had planned with the $20 I had managed to exchange.
It wasn't much, but at least it would give us three days' worth of food. And once I finished shopping, I went back home.
Luego cuando se solventó el problema con la casa de cambio, hice la conversión de los Hive que tenia en mi cuenta y salí a comprar más comida.
Ya por lo menos con lo que tenemos podemos sobrevivir unos 7 días con más o menos tranquilidad sin necesidad de salir de casa, que es lo que queremos evitar a toda costa pues no sabemos lo que pueda ocurrir.
El resto del día estuvimos pegados a la pantalla esperando ver actualizaciones de la situación del país, que la verdad es un tanto angustiante porque no se tiene seguridad de qué va a pasar y cuánto tiempo durará esto.
Yo sinceramente espero que en los próximos días las cosas se normalicen pues mi negocio depende de eso, les recuerdo que tengo una academia y si las personas tienen temor, no enviarán a sus hijos a clases y yo no podré comenzar a dictarlas tampoco.
Sea lo que sea que vaya a pasar que sea lo mejor para todos amigos y que podamos continuar nuestras vidas con paz y tranquilidad.
Mientras acá seguiremos trabajando, planificando y a la espera de lo que ocurra en las próximas horas amigos.
Then, once the problem with the currency exchange was resolved, I converted the Hive I had in my account and went out to buy more food.
Now, with what we have, we can at least survive for about seven days with relative ease without needing to leave the house, which is what we want to avoid at all costs because we don't know what might happen.
The rest of the day we were glued to the screen waiting for updates on the situation in the country, which is quite distressing because we don't know for sure what will happen or how long this will last.
I sincerely hope that things will return to normal in the coming days because my business depends on it. I remind you that I have an academy, and if people are afraid, they won't send their children to classes, and I won't be able to start teaching them either.
Whatever happens, I hope it's for the best for everyone, friends, and that we can continue our lives in peace and tranquility.
Meanwhile, we'll keep working, planning, and waiting to see what happens in the next few hours, friends.
